Root CM7 Nightlies

How could that be. I know that gingerbread is a low percentage of users but that is BS.

don't know for sure, but all the people I've seen post about the force close issues are on gingerbread, the newest version works fine on any 2.2 rom I've tried and on the unrooted inc I have.

56 is up and the changelog indicates this is a stepping off point for 7.0.1. I guess we are close to the next stable release with the video camera at least functioning.

Wow. I guess I'll have to move up from 54 to 55. The camera is recording well, but I can't tell the resolution. I don't think there is any way it is 720p but the frame rate seems solid. I've not had an FCs recording video or playing it back... Everything else seems stable.

I never had a problem with the video camera. Now... with 7.02 I am getting a freeze in the view screen every time I press record?? How odd.

I'm on nightly 56 (i think it's the same as 7.02) and video cam is borked. Sure it'll get fixed very soon. Video cam has gone through stages of working and not.

How is it that the facebook FC issue has not been addressed yet? I really don't that GB is the cause, considering it's worked all the way up until last week on everyone's GB loving phones.

Going back to older version now. Thanks for posting that up

Gonna flash nightly 58. Hopefully video cam is fix cos I have a 6 mo old baby that wants to be a movie star and this is the only video cam I have right now!

Not sure what nightly that is, but you can try it. Just do a nandroid backup first.

Make sure to wipe the cache and dalvik cache(under advanced options). Usually it is safe to flash right over each nightly.

im just going to do a wipe install. it says that its like a whole new build so i don't want to risk anything.

I would do the same thing. i like to do a fresh install every 5 or 6 builds, or when i am having issues.

58 seems to be stable 7.0.2

yes it is...
there is rumor that the nightlys may slow down to allow the CM team to use the build bot in complaining the new builds for the new phones that have just been released such at the thunderbolt and incredible S (2)

just a heads up fellas

58 is pretty good, i honestly don't see how it could get much better.

oh yeeeeee of little faith HAHAHAHAHA

Another refresher from slayher:
"Sometimes things are going to break, sometimes features are going to be removed, then added, then removed, then added back."
Just because it works in one build, doesn't mean it's going to work in the next.

  • TV-Out doesn't work on CM7 or any AOSP ROM
  • 720P video recording
  • Sometimes downloads "appear" unsuccessful
  • Theme Chooser causing WL widgets to disappear
  • Gmail right margin bug (rotating the screen is a temp fix)
  • Screen goes black after a day or two with no reboot (out of pmem)
  • CM (not RM) Updater doesn't work in the post RC1 nightlies.
  • Camcorder -- working as of 01172011 (#2)
  • WiFi accessing hidden SSIDs and not automatically switching APs -- working as of 01172011 (#2)
  • Market adfree doesn't work -- Dev updated it, uninstall and reinstall new one, might have to revert first
  • Quadrant doesn't work (apps fault, and score doesn't mean anything anyways
    tongue.gif
    )
  • Receiving Video/Sound MMS b0rked, (sending video/sound works, picture works) -- working as of 01202011 (#6)
  • Basic phone app is broken (cannot call) on build #15 -- works before and after, though
everything that is blue will be in CM7 for us at some point :)

haha wow, i guess i'm way wrong.

its the magic of open development. The issues we have had solved over the last month or too would have never been fixed with verizon. I love it.
