Root CM7 problems with USB

First of all I would like to apologize for posting this because I am sure its been covered before. However, I am not having any luck using the search.

I am no longer able to get my windows 7 computer to recognize my EVO 4G. I have removed the battery, rebooted both phone and computer, tried a new cable, tried a different usb port and still no luck. I am not even able to get the options anymore on the drop down screen.

I am running CM7.1.0 supersonic
build number GWK74
kernel version 2.6.37.6-cyanogenmood-01509-g8913be8shade@toxygene #1
Android Version 2.3.7
Baseband version2.15.00.11.19

I hope this information helps

Welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm going to move you to All Things Root section so maybe you can get some help with your issue:)

Have you tried wiping cache and Dalvik cache in recovery? Sometimes this can help with minor issues

i agree with Andy... when i flashed 7.1.0 i made the mistake of not wyping dalvik cache at the beggining and the phone wasnt able to connect and i lost my notification bar.

so after such it worked flawlessly... give it a shot

I had a similar problem with the usb connection for this model :

htc wildfire with android 2.3.7

restart the phone and both usb connect and usb debugging connected worked fine :)

thanks a lot!

Maybe this is a little too obvious, but I assume that after you plugged it in, you went to the notification bar and turned on USB storage? It won't see your phone by default. Once you enable USB storage, windows should be able to see your phone.
