Root CM7 voicemail text issue...

RunVert

Well-Known Member
running CM7 and since I dont have sprint vm anymore, I have been getting annoying text messages from a 9016 number notifying me that I have a voicemail.
Is there any way to disable this automatic text message I get after someone leaves me a voice message?

Also, are there any voicemail options that will allow me to see a notification in the pull down menu, that I have a missed call and a voicemail...AND will allow me to click on the missed voicemail notification and let me listen to my voicemail right there?
Instead of having to dial my voicemail number.
This is how sprints vm service worked. Anything like this for CM7?
would be nice if there was!

you can always install sprint vvm or use google voice. As far as 9016 is concerned i use redlist app to black list 9016 and select no notifications from redlist...gone

Installing sprint vvm has been addressed in every cm thread recently, i just addressed this for someone else in the cm7 nightlies thread an hour ago actually.

You might be able to get some if not all of those features by using Google Voice. And now, Sprint and Google Voice have teamed up where you can port your Sprint number into Google Voice with the click of a button so you don't have to deal with 2 numbers. Text and Visual voicemail can be read/heard on your phone along with your GV account online. You can even text from your computer, and it shows up on the other persons phone, with your phone number and they can't tell the difference. I've had a Google Voice account for well over a year, but haven't used it much because I kept forgetting what the number was, now I use it everyday. Texts are kept online and my phone, voicemails are the same. I can archive or delete them. As far as the 9016 number, check out this thread CM7 + Sprint VVM + Redlist : How to Fix your Notification Icon - xda-developers

No no just for 9016, i said disable all notifications in red list because it will then give you a notification that it blocked 9016 which kind of defeats the purpose lol, just tell red list not to tell you what it does :)
