Yea im back up please warning to all don't flash this BS no disrespect to OP but how can someone that dont use the esteem dev for it???? I mean look at all the work PG is going through and he's a daily esteem user......smh

It's not unheard of, they just use testers. He is pretty well know and has many roms out and plenty of other work hes done. xda-developers - Search Results I have used several roms of his. ;)

THIS IS FOR THE EVO V 4G...NOT THE LG ESTEEM PLEASE DON'T FLASH THIS TO YOUR ESTEEM!!!!!
 
i know its not unheard of ive been around these forums for too long but just for the simple fact that user aint a esteem user i dont see how they can even decide to dev for it. bottom line is if ya wanna deal with the headache then go for it i took the chance only cuz shiny and some1 else were able to get into recovery without no prob so i was like what the hell i can always go back. but recovery was hard to do this time it kept turn off and on till on my 8th try it went through lol. anyways i aint dealing withsome1 that is trying to cut corners wether if pg gets this done or not i trust him alot more than other people.

That's y no one has to flash it only if you choose to that's y in the op its says flash at you own risk I mentioned already its not booting up and there fixing it and they will be doing a video on YouTube to show its working;)

i didnt flash it till some1 on here confirmed it work for zvb which is what im using so i took the chance that was the only reason when i first read this thread i laughed at it as soon as some1 on zvb said it was working i decided to investigate. kapeesh?

So your saying if the dirty port finally works well.. bugs fixed screenshot and YouTube video to prove that it works.. You still will not flash it because he cut some corners it's not no secret that PG been working on CM9 for awhile now.. so if it work I say flash it.. I'm just saying unless I misunderstood what you was saying:what::what::confused:

what im saying is true devs take a while to build something that actually works flawless by the way i checked out that dude's status on the xda and hes just a normal member so lets see do i trust more a well known dev like pg or do i trust a average member on xda to build the cm9 over to the esteem??? hmmmm tough choice......not i choose to trust pg and i trust his judgement about any mods/kernel for our phone. No disrepect to the op or the actual person trying to build the mod for us but in the end of the day you cant trust them all.Pg said something about dirty porting he said it usually means things not working always on the phone, ill admit ive never tried anything dirty ported over any phone ive ever used but when the top dogs all agree on one thing and that is its not reliable, u can damn sure bet i wont even bother asking questions they know damn well know what they talking about. And again i want a full rom that means full kernel made from scratch specificly made for the cm9 mod for the esteem. i dont wanna see no kernels from any other roms we have already for the esteem i dont wanna see a wanna be look alike cm9 mod theme either. dont u think if pg wanted to have cut corners he would of done this long ago? smh some people would do anything for brownie points....

i 100% agree with you about wanting something flawless on your phone and being able to trust the devs.. But im pretty sure the esteem community is ics hungry so im pretty sure they dont care if its dirty or clean build(then again i cant speak for other people) just an opinion on my part.. Thats why people are getting new phones and leaving the esteem behind they want something thats new ics/jb... But i understand where you comming from:d:d:)
 
i really dont think that dude even has a esteem and i doubt he even bothers coming in here to check out what we have or not. my views about any rom has always been that the kernel is the heart of the rom like the motor is the heart of any vehicle so if this guy is bothering with already made kernels already made in this subforum im sorry but i wont consider a legit authentic rom. thats why when people from outside come posting in our forum saying they are releasing a new rom i always ask if this is a rom or a theme cuz if its the same number 2 rom with a differnt look or a blackplague rom with a different look i dont want it! im not trying to be harsh im just tired of the same movie with a different title if u know what i mean "reruns"

Hell yeah btw nuttmeg saw you on the Kindle Fire thanks for that guide on restoring back to stock I had to send one of my kids kindle back and used your guide flawless I'm running cm 10 and it kicks butt works perfect

i could have fix that for you...:D And yes there are 6 different cm10 for it now, but im ready for the Kindle Fire 2...:D
 
nope 1 out of 5 reports thats it working yet he dosnt know how to post a pic on here. bad ratio if u ask me.

I said it was for the Evo. I posted this, to show he has developed roms, and that he is a reliable source. If you went there, and read through the directions, an flashed this to an Esteem, when it clearly states its for and Evo, I would question the persons intelligence and would suspect, that person shouldn't be messing with flashing a rom to begin with if they can't read lol! Was just pointing out he is a respectable and trusted source, and in return was posting the source of my findings to let people know. Not to mention me using his roms in the past.;)

I can agree with you, on specifying this is for a Evo V 4G, and not for the LG Esteem. So sorry, for not posting that, I don't want anyone bricking their device, by any means.

i am speaking with him and he used the evo to port since it was gonna be easier for him all he need is an expert to give him feedback is all

The purpose of the post is irrelevant and is no concern to me. People see a link in a thread with CM9 and dont think twice. Yeah, sounds stupid. But I've seen more dumb things that people do.
