Root Cog v2.3b6 just flashed saturday

Yeah, it says Latest recovery: Clockworkmod 2.5.1.2.

Also, I can see "update.zip" in the list, so I have the ability to DL zips.
 
are you going to the option "install zip from sdcard" > "choose zip from sdcard" > then scroll through the list to where you transferred the file to. make sure its on the internal sd card also, it wont work on the external, if you have one
 
do you have a file manager, i think it has "my files" stock, or astro file manager. search through there and see if you can find it. if it shows up there i see no reason why it wont in recovery. if it is there and not in recovery you may want to download the file again and put it back on the phone and delete what is on there now. make sure you dont unzip it or anything
 
WOW, this is making me mad. I can't even open up any of the things, it either says force close or you need to mount SD card, which I have been doing...

yes in the clockwork recovery menu that should be an option. i think youre in the stock recovery mode. goto rom manager on your phone and from the app click "boot into recovery" or whatever its called. that should make sure youre booted into the correct recovery mode
 
NO, the Cognition update doesn't show up there, only update.zip. And it says "No applications can perform this action."
 
or try this, from rom manager select "install rom from sd card" and a list should come up and select cognition from there
 
OK, I'm rebooting into recovery.

Thanks for the help by the way, I'm hoping I get this.

Oh, should I do reboot system now or reinstall packages? Because there aren't even updates in the system... (cognition)

it must be something to do with it originally being a .rar. try removing the one from your sd card and downloading it again. its the only thing i can think of.
 
Should I reinstall the Rom Manager? I get a force close every time I click on install rom from sd card...
 
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! It won't let me flash recovery. It says SD Card has to be mounted, and I have mounted it every time...

All you do is click on the USB notification in the bar, right? Then press mount...

oh haha i just got it. when your sd card is mounted to your computer its not mounted to your phone so the recovery cant find it. its asking you to mount it to your phone, so unmount it from your computer so your files show on your phone

hopefully itll work this time, make sure its not mounted to your computer and its ran though the file scanner or else it wont show any files, including the cognition.zip file
