Root {collab rom} seeking volunteers

What about starting a google code page for the project? Allows for anyone who is authorized to make changes to the source code, and can be setup to produce nightlies. That's what we used to use on the PSP scene ;)

I'm sure github can probably do all of those things as well :P

oh please no, lol. github is much easier to use etc etc. code.google is ok, but it has done nothing but urk me any time I have had to actually use it.

For you alls purposes, yea prolly no need to decompile back to true java src, but that can be done with jd-gui.

But with github, even just cooking, you can update un-modded decompiled apk and then create a new branch, the push the mods. That way everyone can see what was changed and learn a lil better about whats being done. Can also push recompiled apks too.

Ummm how about we buy (donate) motion for GT ^^?

Again, this all depends on GT's schedule but who can make Katana or Samurai better than GT himself?

The phrase "too many cooks spoil the broth" comes to mind lol. I would keep it down to 1-3 volunteers to assure quality control.

  • Volunteer 1 - can do xml editing in notepad++
  • Volunteer 2 - can do image editing in photoshop or gimp
  • Volunteer 3 - can put it all together along with choosing apps to include in rom amongst other things

If each person works for about 30 minutes a day, you should finish within 2 weeks.

I agree with PG... Github all the way.

well technically we only have 3 or 4 volunteers anyway. and hopefully pg and gt will give us some pointers along the way ;)
