Coming from a BB?

Coming from the 8310 Curve... glad I got rid of this thing for the Droid. But anyhow the one thing I'll miss is the Curve's keypad. Other than that.. good riddins!

The app is called Locale. I haven't check it out yet but I have heard about it. I would love to be able to tag my home and have the phone auto connect to my wireless network when I arrive at my home.

ok - i've been using Locale for a few days now, and it does give you an incredible amount of options for customizing what former BB users would call 'profiles.' It's great - indispensable for me. The only thing is if you enable the location condition, meaning set it to automatically change your profile based on where you are, it will depend on your GPS, which drains battery. So i just use it to change profiles manually or by time of day. this is such a great app, that if i had to choose one app to install, this would be it.

I had the blackberry storm...it was good while it lasted...I ended up upgrading cause i dropped my storm in a cup of lemonade 2 days ago...after drying and sucking all the moisture out with a container full of rice...it didn't want to turn on any more...

had $50 credit with verizon wirelss...payed the $250...already sent in the $100 mail in rebate...so the Motorola Droid only cost me $150...before taxes...also bought the docking stand and the verizon employee was cool enough to hook me up with the black hard case for free since I purchase the docking bay...all in all paid $180.xx for everything...and this is by far the most bad ass phone I have ever owned...

like I mentioned before I had the storm, I also had the iPhone...but this blows them out of the water hands down...being able to multi-task and continue exactly where you left off is bad ass...the voice recognition for google is so sick that there's nothing it can't find and locate for you...:D

over all very pleased about this phone...couldn't be any happier...well maybe if the phone blew me too...rofl

Hello everyone! First post here:)

I am on my second day with the Moto Droid.. coming from a Storm 1.

I can't really think of anything I will miss about the Storm..lol. The Droid absolutely beats the pants off of it for everything that I want in a smartphone:D The Droid has so many capabilities that it is amazing beyond belief!

What I will miss the least is BB and Rim's incessant bugs, workarounds, etc. It is nice to have a fast, stable device:p

Of course there are a few quirks to the Droid, but it is so customizable via software that they won't last long. I am one happy camper:cool:
