You keep saying I 'ignored' color inaccuracy of the SAMOLED displays when in every post I mentioned their oversaturation. Not sure how you feel I ignored color accuracy when I kept mentioning that...but whatever.
To me black levels are important in display quality. The race for the perfect TV display invariably revolves around black levels since many of the other aspects of PQ are much closer in today's displays. This is well known in the video community. This is why I had always gravitated toward plasmas until very recently when full array LED/LCDs caught up, and in some cases surpassed the black levels of plasmas.
Where you and I differ is that I do not view cellphone displays as small "TV displays", they are still cellphone screens. As such displaying a picture, a website, a video and text are all things they need to do well. To my eyes having a poppy screen lends a better presentation to those things in total.
If all I did was watch feature length films on a cellphone, I might choose differently. But I don't. The fact is I view websites, check email, watch an occasional video and go in and out of applications and even check email outdoors in the sun. So having the utmost in color accuracy doesn't begin to have the importance that it would if it were my TV display. There are too many other things I ask of a cellphone display.
The bottom line is I still haven't decided between the Razr & the Rezound, but chances are my decision will ultimately be based on things other than the display. Each display is great in its own way and other factors will probably help me decide.
