Coming SOON: May 31- HTC Evo V (4G)- ICS

Clearwires map says im in the coverage area but not in best coverage.. And i think there's a clearwire ap in my apartment complex.. So i might sell my triumph soon and buy me an evo v :3

So how would that work? Would it restart your month at 35 or wait till your monthly cycle ends and then bump you up?

On the link in the text message they sent, it said to activate your new phone at the end of your current billing cycle to avoid being charged twice.

Edit: here's the actual text from the link:

"To best complete a phone swap, we recommend waiting until your plan month is finished. This will avoid you having to pay for one month of service twice."

if the internet company Clear is who's hosting the 4g/wimax for VM, then ive got a frown on my face lol, i live right outside philadelphia, which about a year ago push the clear internet thru towers making it available in so many areas

the downside, clear in philadelphia has the i believe the worst ratings out of every single company for speeds, and connection quality

my sister actual used clear internet at her house which is right by a tower and she switch companys because her connection would completely be lost after more than 30 minutes of connection, requiring everything being rebooted and a phone call being made to the company for it to work again lol

with that being said if clear isnt who's hosting it for them/or if clear has stepped there game up since the lasttime i check it could be a good thing for me down the road, when/if i decide to get the evo lol

Hmmm to get this orrr save up another 150 and get a note on tmobile lol.. But id have to sell tmy triumph and somthing else i dont need for 100$ which would barely get me 300.. But would get me this phone.. Hmm desisons what other phones could i get for 300 on tmobile with ics? And how much 4g data again?

GalNex for $400

X

Screw the galnex with its crappy battery life.. Over hyped phone.. What i want to know is speeds of WIMAX vs tmobiles 4g thats the deciding factor i guess..

and that depends entirely on location... T-mo's 3g HSPA can get speeds up to 42 MB/S although I have never seen nearly that fast. Maybe like 6 MB/S + and WiMAX I'm not completely sure... here's an article I found from a couple years ago though... T-Mobile HSPA + 4G vs Sprint WiMAX 4G data speed showdown
and here's a newer article from last month: http://www.tmonews.com/2012/04/t-mobile-att-win-top-honors-in-pc-world-speed-test-report/

3D is kinda stupid to me. In today's world we have cameras on our phones so that we can share pictures via MMS, email, Twitter, and Facebook. Would be pretty pointless if the only way you could share 3D images is by physically taking your device to the people you want to share it with. I would have rather seen VM take a phone with an 8 MP camera and a screen that focuses on color and clarity. However the dual core CPU and Gig of RAM will be appreciated.

I don't get 4G coverage around my area either, and with the bump up to $35/month I might as well buy a different unlocked GSM device and switch to T-Mobile and get plenty of speedy 4G coverage.

The $10 price increase directly puts them as a prepaid T-Mobile competitor, and T-Mobile's 4G coverage, speed, and phones beat Virgin Mobile's stuff by a long shot. Doesn't make much sense to me...

You peaked my interest, so I decided to look at T-Mobile's plans, but the cheapest plan with data that I can find is $59.99. Am I missing something?

Pretty happy that they're finally releasing something that's worth buying, but they're releasing the wrong phone for me. I wanted at least the Original Evo, it was perfect! Double LED Flash, 8MP Camera. Its still a mighty phone to me, just put a better battery and I'm sold. The Evo V has much better specs, but that Camera kills me, I've tested it and recording is not on par with the Original Evo.

Hmm, I guess I'll wait for reviews knowing that's its the same phone anyways. I'm also on the $25 VM plan, I know spec wise this phone is better than my current OP V but I really need a new phone. Anyone considering Boost's new phone for the same price? & I keep reading all of this talk about T-Mobile but every time I look at their pre payed phones....well it just doesn't do it for me.

Well, I've looked at T-Mobile's prepaid phone selection and the best one I could find is the Samsung Exhibit II 4G.

How does these 2 phones compare? I know it's probably not as powerful as the Evo, but it may be worth sacrificing so I can have 4G coverage.

Dude just Craigslist a galaxy s2 its perfect and you can find em for like 250$ now since the s3 is out soon.. :D 30$ a month 5 gigs of 4g speed you cant beat that..

You can bring any t-mobile phone you want to, as long as it supports the bands.

So you're saying I can activate it under T-Mobile's $30 plan even though it's not listed on their website?
