All should play smooth then, but with OMAP, Snapdragon and now Hummingbird chipsets, my guess is we will not see dedicated 3D acceleration (too many). Especially since the OMAP and Hummingbird drivers are not open source.

I'm having the same problems. I downloaded .bins with cues and when I pick the .bin psx emulator seems to try and load it but fails. I wonder if its my sd card?

Do not need the cue files unless playing with a CD.

Each disc is roughly 650-700mb in ISO format, not sure about EBOOT versions of the game though.

FF9 was playing great (some glitches, no sound in fmv's, battle menu flickering) but playable until scene in Dali where airship is about to take off, it freezes during the fmv??

I tested it on a stock EVO, it plays but your character will disappear into the actual field map, makes it unplayable bc you can't progress.

My 2p worth....

Samsung Galaxy S

Battle arena toshinden - works fine, although screen size was funny only filled half the screen?

Gran Turismo - Runs fine, but for some reason all the other cars are stuck in 1st gear

Grand theft auto - tested briefly, works fine

Jumping Flash - Works fine, occasional gfx breaking up

Parappa the Rapper - runs OK, but is slow, so makes it hard to keep up with the rhythm!

Res Evil - works fine for me so far

Star Gladiator - Runs well enough, gfx 10/10, sound 8/10 a bit choppy

Tekken - Runs fine, a bit slow again

Tekken 2 - this is TOTALLY BIZARRE everyone looks like they are made of giant straws!!!!

Time Crisis - Into all loads and plays ok, but this wont show gfx in game, i can hear the sounds, but screen is black - also a bit difficult to control!

Wipeout 2097 - this works pretty well in all honesty

Rival Schools - intro is fine until main menu (need to set scale to 2x or original), gameplay is about 50-70%. Sound is ok, stutters a bit.

EDIT:

Ridge Racer Type 4: it works, I just forget how this game plays. It feels like it's slow but then I only tested one lap with beginner car.

Samurai Shodown III: played only 1 round in arcade mode and plays nicely.

Pocket Fighter: plays but a little sluggish than it should be.

Tales of Destiny: flawless, played up to the 1st save point.

^ They can be in any folder provided you browse to it.
For obvious reasons nobody here can link directly to pirated material. Either rip your own games or Google better BIN and ISO ROMS will work. ECM files will not and need to be converted/ripped correctly..

Rooted HTC Desire

Warzone 2100 Seems to work ok but with no L2 you can't select multiple units.
GTA 1 Works fine
Vigilante 8 Won't load past menus
Vigilante 8 2nd Offense Long load times and then you can't fire weapons due to control limitations.

For vigilante 8 2nd offense just remap the control scheme in the options, it works quite nicely after that. =] It's one of my favorite psx games!

Thanks for that, was rushing through them so didn't try changing any controls.

Tried a couple more today:

Rooted Desire (2.1)

Destruction Derby RAW Hangs on loading screen
Die Hard Trilogy DH1 seems to work okay, DH2 worked but is hard to control. DH3 didn't render properly as the draw distance was about 3 feet so you smash into everything!
Die Hard Trilogy 2 Kept crashing without going anywhere
Medal of Honor Seems to run slower on v1.1 and only a few minutes in the game hadn't rendered the rest of the map so I was stuck!

I want to try out some more later, I know Twisted Metal 4 doesn't work but has anyone tried the older versions? How about Felony 1179? or Rollcage forgot that one...

Digimon World - Perfectly playable, no audio glitches, but the sound is kinda distorted. I still haven't gotten into a battle, but I did make it through the entire intro FMV, training area, and got a few pieces of meat with no hiccups.

UPDATE: I am about 45 minutes into the game and still haven't had a problem. Battles work great and control is spot on.

Anyone try Metal Gear Solid yet? MGS, Syphon Filter, Chrono Chross, Parappa, and THPS are next on my list to try.

Stock Incredible

Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey - trailing images, background messed up. Sound is good, video images at beginning work great. Trailing images and background are disappointing.

Oddworld Abe's Exoddus - same as the first one.

Crash Bandicoot 2 - images ok, sound great but verrrry laggy.

Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit - flawless from what I experienced. Sound great, images great, video great.

Metal Gear Solid - most disappointing. Loads fine, goes to the menu, you select your difficulty....blank. I've tried from 2 rom sites. No dice.


Overall experience, disappointing. There really needs to be an update so these roms can work properly.
