hey guys, i found the qualcomm src code for our wifi driver, its being worked on regulary.last update was 3 days ago
i do not know anything about compiling but really want to use this new driver. looks like its way better than what we have now.
it looks like it runs on jb but cant tell if it works on our stock setup.

i have a 2 core 1.5 ghz laptop with 4g memory. is this enough? its obvious i will need to install a version of linux.
can i open .bin and .dat files to view and modify?
so i think its possible someone from cynogen team has compiled it. but havent found what rom to extract it

any input?

I couldnt actually say anything is wrong. But the new one seems to have added ahoc support. Tx and rx increases. 5G support. Maybe change reg domain for more channels and higher power. More stability to start with.
I dont have cell service. And am homeless and am often on the outskirts of wifi so any enhancements i can get are valuable.
Also, not sure but i think our board may support hs bluetooth. Been looking in src for additions. Since i use one motion to repeat wifi through bluetooth.
I also would like to look into the wpa supplicant area as well
To be able to use an app like txpower to quickly adjust power levels as needed.

mmm k....

but yea a ton of resources not needed to just compile the kernel and modules, your setup should work fine. If you have source why the need to pull anything from a rom or mess with bin/dat files?

I was hoping to get the new driver compiled already and overwite the old . But if gonna compile it myself might as well know what is in bin and dat for making my own modifications. And this knowlrdge will help me on other parts of my phone i want to be able to alter
