Root Complete Guide: Root, unrEVOked, Titanium, Tether, Nandroid, AdFree, animation, and remove apps

I have decided to root my Dinc. Currently on 2.2
However before I proceed, I am concerned about this constant notice to install the System Update 4.08.605.2.
The message states that it is ready to install.
When I go to: menu-settings-about phone-system updates, I see this:

Downloaded and Verified 87.7 MB

Bla-Bla-Bla......

Restart & Install

Can I choose
