Root Completely Restore/Unroot My LG Ally?

i do not believe it did. it may have been a problem with the v9 software since it was released before it was supposed to be
 
Question on the Ally...I know this is slightly off the unroot topic, but I have one stuck in emergency mode, and I completely wiped and put it back to factory defaults, it was still in emergency mode with no data on it at all. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have called LG, searched here, and droidforums.net, as well as just google, can't find an answer anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
Okay, my GF wants to go back to completely stock. How do i do that? Idk how to do this on an ally, i got it rooted and have V0.4 but she wants me to put it back to stock and download 2.2.1 OTA stock.

so basically how do i flash stock recovery and stock image?

Or you can download the lg mobile updater and do it via the computer and thats it. I had to do it that way and itll remove root and update all at once

LG mobile updater may not be the greatest idea, if you wanna use third-party ROM's, due to the fact that it removes fastboot from your phone.
I would use the thread that was posted above by Valkerie, and after, go to your dialer, type in *#*#CHECKIN#*#* , and the OTA update SHOULD be there.

Yeah if you want root and custom roms (velocity 1 is AMAZING) LG Updated=bad idea but if you only want stock and never more it would be the easiest

She doesnt want root or anything, she just wants stock 2.2.1 with stock recovery.
if i use LG mobile updater, will it do everything for me? like make it the stock recovery and stock image?
LG Mobile updater = 100% stock ...correct?

Yupp 100% stock recovery and all. Like she just pulled it out of the box stock. I had to do it and it worked great. You just install it and hit update, however ive read through a few posts and there have been a couple people who had it "hang" during the update and i dont know how that ended. There will be about 20 minutes when the phone is connected via usb and cant be disconnected. Worked just fine for me. And to go stock and upgrade to 2.2 this would be the easiest and fastest

This is the exact answer i was looking for, and i thank you kind sir! :D

(This was SOO easy on my OG droid, and now i relearning on my Fascinate, and my GFs Ally...I miss the droid... although i still turn it on and flash new roms, just to try em out. Ive had a little nibble of Gingerbread :D )

EDIT: so i just Googled LG updater and it came up with this, i just wanna make sure im using the right program. http://www.lgmobilephones.com/softwaredownload.aspx
 
hey does it work or did it work becasue i have had velocity for a while and im just so scared ,and i just want someone to be positive it should work,so i dont mess it up
