Root Concern about flashin ROM

I had the dreaded silent call bug with 2.1 OTA.
Since the latest patch it got fixed.

If I flash another ROM thant patch will disappear unless the new ROM
also contains it.

So what are the chances that with the new ROM I will get the silent bug again?

I just scanned XDA and there's at least one ROM I found that includes the July patch:
