Root condemned cm7

a problem that was in 17 and carried over to 18 (probably because no one noticed). The music player doesn't play wma files anymore, my original ROM was able to play these files.
I still haven't checked the usb and Bluetooth issues but otherwise, the v18.2 is running smoothly :)

Glad to hear improvements. Hopefully all the mentioned kinks are settled. I'll look into the wma files and I can't test mounting through Usb to a radio so let me know how that goes. Glad bt is back to normal though. That was bugging me the most :)

Thanks for looking into the wma issue, I'll check usb connection tonight and will let you know.
Is there a way to turn off the shutter sound when taking pictures? :p

If you have root explorer or estrong file manager with root settings browse to system/media/audio/UI and delete the camera_click.ogg file.

OK. Confirmed that bluetooth works fine (yaaaaay) and usb error is gone as well. I had to enable and then disable debug mode and car system was able to read the mp3 files from the usb. :)
Now the only thing that is buggy (not a show stopper), the slider screen is not always there when I first turn the phone on. In other words, sometimes it goes straight to the unlock pattern, without showing the slider screen.

Successfully flashed and yessss Bluetooth works flawlessly now.

The low space warnings also mostly went away.
The only two apps who had problems installing were XDA Premium and Shazam, but after a reboot the insufficient space warning didn't come up anymore and they installed fine. :)

Thanks for putting out a fix so fast CS!!! *bow*

USB is working now, too! :)

The only problem I'm running into is that the first attempt to move each app to SD fails. The second attempt always works. If I'm not mistaken, I think that's because I wasn't able to go in and delete .android_secure when USB wasn't working.

That's possible. You could try moving any apps back to the phone, reboot to recovery, delete Android_secure and reboot and see if that helps.

Glad everything else is working well again :)

CS - I just wanted to thank you for your continued support of our little Eris. It means a lot to all of us still using it as our everyday phone. It's really great having the developer right here on our forum responding to our questions and requests. I think I speak for everyone here when I say I'm glad you decided to make this forum you online "home".

Just wish I could get an aosp for my inc.;):)

With kernel.org being down for the last week and a half after being hacked I can't do much of anything for the time being. That's why this update was so rough getting straightened out. Kernel.org is where the Android source code comes from. Once things get back underwater with that though I'll update my cm7 for that and maybe a pure aosp Rom too. Right now I'm trying to finish up a sense Rom based on the gb ota. How have you been making out down there? Haven't heard much from you in a while. :)

My Eris is still used as an everyday phone too and my wife will complain about things not working right unlike me who will deal with it until I can get to it lol. ;)

I'll wait on your pure aosp rom.:) Still here in the back ground and dealing with my issues. I don't post much in here anymore but know I check it several times a day. This is where (the eris) it all started for me.;):)

My bluetooth is working again :) but I'm getting feedback from everyone that they're having a hard time understanding me while I'm using it. I'm not sure what's going on. Any suggestions?

Tell them to turn their speaker volume up :) lol. I'll check some things over and steal the Eris either later tonight or tomorrow morning and test it out again here too.
