Help Constant "Application has stopped working"

DannyC

Lurker
Can anyone please help me on my samsung s5, every now and then when i reboot/restart my S5 there are constant messages saying the applications has stopped working or system has stopped working or user interface has stopped working. My samsung is rooted.

Is there another option besides factory reset? i have already cleared the cache partion? I also figured out that i think its either my S5 thats got to do with "Lolipop" or when i install apps thats got to do with rooting, but i don't know why when i install apps to do with rooting and i reboot, my whole phone goes haywire.

Well has it been like this since the lollipop update or since rooting?

Well, i have no idea what Lolipop is, and apparantly it is very bad, based on people. " It crashes all the time with lollipop, its so bad " . But i think its to do with rooting since.

Ok try booting into "safe mode" (i think you hold in Power and volume down at the same time but you may have to Google it (it should say "safe mode" at the bottom of the screen once it boots).
This disables all downloaded apps so if you don't get the errors in safe mode then it's an app you've installed that's causing it.
Let me know mate :thumbsupdroid:

This helps alot man i managed to delete an app that was causing problems, thanks man!

No problem mate.
Lollipop is just the code name for Android version 5.x.x. So yes it's the rom/firmware.
Don't you like it?
You could ask in the s5 forum if it's possible to downgrade to "kitkat"
