Help Contact Groups

lewren

Lurker
Hi,

I tried to find some information about some usage of contact groups in Android but I failed, maybe because I tried to look from wrong places. If that so, please point me to the right topic please and don't talk about it.

Anyways, I'm a Samsung Galaxy S2 user and what I really would like to do is to define contact groups which will be accepted for incoming call and which are not. As there are contact groups built into Android, I would like to use those groups, not just define them.
Let's say I'm going into vacation and don't want to accept calls from the group called "work". So I would mark only friends and family for example. At the moment there is no possibility to use groups like that in Android and the last thing I need is some secondary application to make it work (hello, groups are in Android).
So, if this works and it's just me, please guide me a bit or point into right topic. If it doesn't work, well in that case I'm in a bit ****. hope it will work in a future.

Bye and thanx for all the fish,
lewren

Welcome to AF.com!! I'll move this thread to Galaxy S2 sub-forum to see if other owners can help. The Galaxy S2 uses Touchwiz which may handle contacts differently than vanilla Android.

If there is a possibility to change something in this area or there will be updates, I would like to know as well, pelase.
