Root Contacts all wonky after installing new rom.

Just got Deck's Reloaded as i'm sure all of you know since i've posted a million questions about it. Anyway, My contacts are all messed up. There are 2 and sometimes 3 of everyone. Their emails and phone numbers seem to be separate and each has its own contact making it really annoying when trying to call someone. I dont see any type of link function like I had with Mik. is there a way to get all of them to automatically merge or do I have to go through 1 by 1 and do it? Whichever way it is, how do I do it?

Another thing about the dialer on this rom, with Mik you would start to type in the persons name on the number pad and they would pop up. With this one it functions more like a normal phone. hitting the numbers just brings up numbers. I have to actually search through my phone book to make any calls. There a way to change this?

As far as contacts go, I haven't tried this, as all my contacts are in google.
But I surmise the reason you have double/triple contacts is because some contacts you have in google, some on your phone, some on facebook, and it is listing all of those.
Go into dialer, then into contacts, hit menu, hit display options and look for "choose contacts to display". On my phone, I have 3 options--google,phone,facebook...I chose only show google contacts. Now, if you "lose" contacts, see next option....
(the next option I have not tried but it's worth a try)...
The other option is to export all contacts to sd card, then import them again all to google--not phone, then on your computer go to google contacts and merge duplicates.

As far as starting to dial and it matching names, I dont see that feature either.

I use Go Dialer and it has that feature when you want to call someone...

I also use the Favorites menu as well. It's easy to add people you call often and it's easy to get to it when needing to make the call...

the base version of cm 7 used for reloaded doesn't allow for stock predictive dialer like you would like. So, you must use a third party launcher for that feature. 'Go' works fine, like he said.

Just to clarify, I doubt you'll need a new launcher just a different dialer that allows predictive dialing;)
