Good morning my friends,
I had lots of trouble figuring out how to "flash" my ascend successfully. Thank God for the people on this forum, I really thought my phone was bricked! I was finally able to get it out of the bootloop, etc., etc., etc. and am now very happy with 2.3 thru CM 7.1. My only problem is that I failed to back up my contacts first. So, my question ....

Now that I think I know how to successfully flash, would going back to the my initial (i.e. stock) RoM through RoM Manager get my contacts back? If I did that, then saved my contacts, then re-loaded CM, would that work?

Or, am I just sol? That would really suk. Please advise, and thank you!!

if you made a back up yea u should be able to restore it. I suggest sync'ing your contacts with your google account. that way your contacts are always backed up and easily restored or added to any new rom or android device you may get ;)

if you didnt make a backup of your rom/contacts than there's no way to get them back unless you have sync them to gmail.

I did do the backup before flashing to CM, so they should still be there, right? Okay, I guess that means I gotta do it again then. Ugh, I hope I don't need y'alls help with a broke phone again! lol
