Conundrum!!!!!!!

Ok boys and girls you all know I have been weary of the atrix but something might just sway me that way. Here's what happened. My netbook is fried!!! Last night it took a dump and it looks like it will cost a few dollars to repair it. So now im thinking should I at least look at the atrix with the laptop dock? I mean I only used my netbook for web surfing mostly at work. ( I own a restaurant) I believe the dock could be a replacement for these things. Im torn now because I love the inspire and don't really need a netbook. Damn it to hell

Awe looky looky, come on over to the dark side :p For what you are doing this will be perfect.

For web surfing ONLY, get the atrix plus the laptop doc. Figure $50 extra for the phone and $150 for the doc= $200

A netbook is $298 unless u want to look eBay for a cheaper one.

I still think the HTC inspire will be the over all best out of the gate 4g stand alone phone but if you are looking at this web surfing from work angle, you gotta consider the atrix.

Or scratch the 11inch screen and wait for the samsung infuses 4.5 inch screen.

I would love to recommend a tablet as a solution but for what they cost and what you described as your main use for this, I can't.

I would wait for reviews if you can hold off that long. At least to see if it can do what you need it too.

My feelings are.exactly as you echo. I think the inspire will be gang busters out the door. Its gonna come.down to me deciding if I need the laptop dock. I guess the 13th will be a big decision

Cmon u know u want it. Full browsing on the super sexy laptop dock plus all your android apps in full screen mode. If you think of it like you're buying a smartphone and netbook it comes out quite reasonable.

We all knew you would see the error of your ways Andrea. Come into the light, all are welcome. LOL

Get a MBA 11" :)

Dont do it. Something about the screen on those just isnt right. I got one and used it for a few weeks, it has strained my eye to the point of damaged vision. My left eyes vision has suffered for the last month since I got rid of it. My vision is actually blurry in my left eye. That thing is a real POS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:

Yea also they haven't fixed the bug where when you MBA goes to sleep and you try to wake it there is just a black screen then you have to reboot and loose all your work. I'm on my second MBA and I'm going to take this one back and get an iMac. If I need a program on my Mac then I'll remote back in with the Atrix laptop dock.

The display is pretty stellar, in fact, it has more density than most 11" displays and as good or better than quite a few 13" (same with the 13" display, but in a 13-15" consideration). Plus Apple uses outstanding optics/materials in their display construction.

I have a few friends and colleagues with both the 11 and 13" models, and they haven't had any issues. Our MB Pro runs flawlessly, but an 11" Air is a great netbook-ish type replacement.

I'd recommend a trip to the doctor, that sounds like a pre-existing medical condition!

I really dont understand why they went with firefox

Yeah, I was a touch surprised they didn't stay with Google (considering the OS), and use Chrome, or even launch a whole Chrome OS/Chromium environment.

Might make sense but the financial aspect points more towards Firefox than Chrome. A browser survey had Firefox at 43% as the most popular browser last month. Chrome & IE were at 22.4% and 27.5% respectively. Motorola may be in cahoots with Google but they're no fool when it comes to they're bottom dollar. Besides I prefer Firefox as well, it's an add-on haven.
