I have a Motorola Droid 2 phone and just bought a Motorola Moto X. I have an app (FoxFi) that won't copy and run. The FoxFi company says I can copy as long as my Google acct stays the same. How do I check that? Any ideas on how to xfer app?
Sign into your Google account on the Moto X, then Play Store/My Apps/All will show every app you've installed on the previous device. Select FoxFi then Install.... it should install onto the X.
If that doesn't work then post back and we'll suggest alternative methods.
Thanks! I was able to download both the free version of FoxFi and the full version "unlocked". When I attempt to activate the wifi hotspot it says "checking subscription" then "your order could not be processed". The 800 support phone numbers are Verizon support numbers. I didn't attempt to speak with a rep.
OK, I installed a different tether app and go the same result. I'm using Verizon. I went from unlimited to 1.5g data when I upgraded my phone. So I guess I lost my capability to tether w/o a charge from Verizon.
If you have a share type account with limited data and you are a 4G user, you should be able to tether free of charge (except for data costs, of course.)
