This post is 100% speculation

I disagree Samsung can not stop selling parts to Apple. I am sure Apple has already gotten with the State of California and filled out all the paper work to start the lawsuit. Samsung stop's selling to Apple there going to scream that Samsung is being unfair and is hurting the market.

The bottom line is simply Apple owns the State of California when it comes to lawsuits vs anyone out side of California.

California is a State that is going under fast. They have one of the largest national debt's etc. They cant afford to lose any of there big name company's such as Apple. How hard would it be for Apple to put massive pressure on California.

"gives us what we want or we will leave the state"

I still kinda wonder if the jury would have ruled in Samsung's favor would the judge have over turned part of it. Obviously she couldn't overturned the entire thing because that would look to suspicious but parts of it and chances are people never blink a eye.

Has anyone noticed Apple is willing to "talk" to Google's CEO. I think the only reason he is willing to work with Google is because he knows he cant rail road the state of California since there both based there. Tell yea the truth I think California would refuse to take side's because losing either would be devastation to the state.

I think this entire trial thing is BS I think the fact Apple is able to patent the idea for the slide lock is crazy.

apple-slide-to-lock.jpg

I do think its starting to become obvious that Apple is scared right now as a company. There is no other reason they be lashing out at everyone under the sun. My best guess is they have no new idea's for the next big steal. Since they have nothing to contribute they want to stop innovation until they do.

I think as far as the trying to get the S3 banned I think its a scary tactic on Apple's part. They need to hinder sales of Samsung's S3 and what better way to do that then call for a ban.

I say all is fair play and I hope Samsung comes swinging when the next Iphone comes out even if its all complete BS (just like Apple) I hope they lay it on as thick as they can.

what was speculation? that samsung sells parts to apple?

They have to just limit what can be patented, if the whole market has adopted the Candybar shape of phones you can't really start sueing everyone for that.

Same goes for lock button, slide to unlock, screen dim before it locks, pinch to zoom. There has to be a homogenized way to do stuff if not you would really have to read a manual everytime you would use a new "phone".

seems apple is ready to launch thier new product but not sure if indeed went along with samsung's technology if so they iz doomed lol

New wireless tech
Speaking of smaller, there's talk (and photos) of a new nano SIM under the hood of iPhone 5 to give the iPhone cellular connectivity. Apple has been pushing for this as a standard for some time, so we'll soon see if iPhone 5 is the first to house this new SIM card.
Other changes to its wireless capabilities include 4G/LTE data speeds which take full advantage of the faster wireless networks available in select markets. For the uninitiated, "Long Term Evolution" cellular speeds rival if not exceed broadband Internet connections at home thanks to download speeds that top 72 Megabits per second -- though this number is "theoretical" opposed to slower "real world" performance. In areas without LTE support, the iPhone 5 would revert to HSPA+ (up to 21 Megabits per second downloads) or depending on the carrier, dual-carrier HSDPA for download speeds of up to 42 Megabits per second.
Already in the new iPad, LTE support in the iPhone 5 is extremely likely. That, and the Korea Times says Apple has been in discussions with two Korean mobile carriers (SK Telecom and KT) to include iPhone 5 on their LTE networks.
While not as likely as LTE, the iPhone 5 might also include near-field communication (NFC), a small wireless radio that essentially turns the smartphone into a digital wallet. This would allow iPhone users to tap-and-pay at supporting retailers and vending machines. Similar to Google Wallet, an iWallet app would be linked to your credit card or bank account. There are other applications for NFC-based smartphones, too, such as easily exchanging information with another smartphone, swiping to access information or media (such as poster of a movie to download a trailer) and to get on a bus or in your condo.

isnt the hearing for the S3 ban in december? dont they have to wait until then to ban this phone?

I don't know what to think anymore I just hope that metro does not carry this until December also i wonder what changes will be made if Apple gets their way on this latest stupidity boy I hate apple

Apple is trying to sue everyone under the sun because Android is kicking their a** in the smartphone arena. Also because Apple is consistently behind the curve vs. Android when it comes to new ideas and such for their iPhone pieces of crap.

Trust me Apple is going down the toilet, it's only a matter of how long it takes. Suing everyone only makes them look like a two year old throwing a tantrum and further alienates new customers, thus driving them to Android. The only people Apple has is fanbois and lemmings.

Well it looks like Apple is trying to get the s3 banned before the release of the i5.

It's sad to see what apple is doing. They're suing for their lives basically. Apple is finished if they don't get all these bans. Their new flagship can't compete with what's out there. This is all they've got.

Well next week she shall see oh men I just can't stand this nonsense by Apple this is getting out of hand it says DEC 6th for the hearing ban next I thingy isn't coming soon for them I hope metro releases the phone soon

Don't know how anyone missed this.

Tokyo Court Rejects Apple Patent Claim Against Samsung

Following Apple's $1 billion patent win against Samsung in a U.S. court last week, the tech industry has been closely watching the companies' other patent fights around the globe. Today a new patent judgment came down in one of Apple's most important markets: Japan. But this time the winner turned out to be Samsung.
A three-judge panel in Tokyo ruled that Samsung did not infringe on an Apple patent claim covering the syncing of video and music data with devices to servers. Led by judge Tamotsu Shoji, the panel rejected Apple's request for damages related to the alleged infringement, which would have amounted to 100 million yen (approximately $1.27 million). According to AFP, Judge Shoji told the court that "the defendant's products do not seem like they used the same technology as the plaintiff's products so we turn down the complaints made by [Apple]."
The fight over patents in Japan is no small matter. Deep-pocketed Japanese consumers have warmed to the new iOS and Android touch-screen devices, largely ditching local manufacturers mired in outdated designs and software platforms specific to the Japanese market. But despite Samsung's close proximity to and regional feel for the Japanese consumer, recent data compiled by Japanese research firm MMRI indicates that Apple remains far ahead of Samsung in terms of tablet and smartphone sales. Nevertheless, late last year Samsung tried, unsuccessfully, to ban the sale of the and the in Japan.
Apple will have 30 days to appeal this latest Japan ruling. But this may only be the beginning of the struggle between the two companies in Japan. According to the Nikkei, Apple has also filed another lawsuit against Samsung in the territory related to screen displays. In the meantime, the Tokyo court has ordered Apple to pay all of Samsung's legal fees related to the case up to this point. :D

when it all starts to seem like a bad idea to start suing.... oh wow apple has stuck their finger in the hornet's nest and are preparing to get stung left and right from different phone companies for trying to pick on the wrong nest. BAHAHA!!!!
