Couldn't wait................

I just couldn't resist............had to stop by my local store on the way back home. They told me "yes, THAT DAY is tomorrow, 9AM"!!! They could not give any more info, when i asked, how many units they gonna receive, (they said, they do not have them in store as of yet - they have to be there early morning).......so, if I get there by 9, i can get one. Then, i asked - just tell me "many or few?" - they said, they cannot even tell me that!! :eek: So, i just bought a screen protector, car mount, and a case.....it would be pity, if i already got those things, and there will not be enough phones tomorrow morning.......what time everybody are planning to go to the store tomorrow morning? 6AM, 7AM? Maybe i should set a tent there tonight??>>>> :D
 
Really... I was told by both my local Best Buy and Verizon they will have plenty.

Although I will most likely not be getting it, at least no right off the bat. Regardless of capped data usage I will be waiting for the dual cores, I cannot force myself to get the single core device.

I pitch a tent right after I wake up, but that has nothing to do with this conversation...

Yeah but verizon said the same thing with previous launches and had quite the fiasco with the inc and x where they were backordered hopefully htc learned their lesson from the inc incident.

haha good plan . I might do something similar the Verizon store in Downtown Denver is right on our outside street mall I think there's something next to or across the street from it where I could get my grub on while I wait

And then add the crisis in Japan, that might delay them replenishing their inventory.
 
I have a regional manager that is getting every thing for me in the morning. I just need to call him in the am and he will get everything rolling.
 
I walk by a Verizon store every morning on the way to work around 7:15, and it opens at 8. If there's anyone already in line then I'll get in line too, otherwise I'll get some breakfast at a nearby McDonald's and then head over shortly before they open. Less than a day now!!!
 
Leave house: 815am
Order McD's drivthru: 825am

Then I'll be watching the vzw doors while I munch down a tasty treat. If no line I walk in at 9am. If its getting long I get in line. If line is crazy I will go home and order online.
 
I will also admit that I bought the car mount and the holster/case combo yesterday. Didn't get the screen protectors since at $8.00 for a pack of 4 seemed a little steep for me.
 
My store told me they would be getting a large amount in, more than enough. I have my appointment set up at 9am when the doors open to get mine :D
 
i also don't think there will be much of a line, if any. probably business as usual with a handful of early adopters sprinkled in. :D

seems the advertising momentum kind of sputtered with this phone. i think sales will pick up steam rather briskly though.

It's not about lines, but first to get it and post smack in the forums. :)

Inc was due to getting screwed by Samsung for displays. Droid X was they did not make enough, since they did not expect such a big demand for a big phone.
 
I'm playing it safe, and will be there at 8:55am to get one. :)

I already called Verizon today and whined and got them to give me an early upgrade.

When I spoke with the rep from my corp store, she said the same thing. I asked her what time should I be there to avoid a long line and she said there wasn't a line for the iPhone. I'd like to be first in so I'm going to show an hour before they open. If someone beats me to it, they deserve it!

Hahaha...YES!!! Egg Macs, Hashbrowns, and a Thunderbolt...not a Bad Thursday morning!
 
Yeah there usually aren't any lines at iPhone launches:

I can't make it to my local VZW store until tomorrow night so I hope that they'll still have one for me! Luckily I live in a small town in which Im probably the only one who knows what an HTC Thunderbolt is.

Screw this, I'm fully charging mine first and checking how well the battery works, unless you mean posting up from a different computer which yeah why not? :D
 
I'm not gonna be able to get mine till after work.. :(

Fortunately I got a call from the store manager yesterday to set up an appt and he will be holding one for me just in case. They said they have plenty, opening at normal time.

Gonna be a sloooooooowww day..
