Hi Guys and Girls,

I would just like to say first of all the I am LOVING my DHD it really is the dogs bollocks.

I am going to try and condition my battery when I get a chance but was wandering what the best app out there is for saving battery power. I tried that green one that was mentioned earlier and not sure if it did anything or not.

Also I cant seem to get my HTC Sense to work, am I missing out with this, since I have no idea what it does Im not really that bothered unless someone can convince me otherwise.

What I would like to know is how I can back up my entire phone, contacts, apps, settings etc is there an app that does this?

Also is it worth downloading a task manager type programme?

My favourite apps so far are angry birds, tune in radio, relax & sleep, robo defense (my fav game). Also dowloaded audio books travelling which has quite a large selection of free audio books, couldnt sleep last night so was listening to HG WElls invisible man. There are some classics on there the only problem is that some of the narrators are better than others.

Also had a shot of my mates iphone yesterday and it seemed so cheap & nasty and sooooo small plus he is paying over double what I am paying!!

thanks

Ok, I'm going to have a shot at answering everything! :)

Green power free works well for me, it's more of a long term difference that you'll notice.

Htcsense.com is currently not 100% working, Htc have said they are working on fixing it asap. It should probably come back online when they release more phones that use that platform.

There should be a few free apps in the market that allow you to make a full backup of your phone's settings, etc, to your memory card. You might also be able to back it up to your PC.

Task killers don't really help much, as many people have said in the past. It's just not the way android does things. The OS will launch things again, even if you close them with a task killer.

Glad you like the phone :) Make sure USB Debugging is set to on in settings/applications/development, this seems to give an all round better experience by not using a certain process.

For HTC sense.com to work on the phone:

First step is setting for sync HTC Sense.
> Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account > HTC Sense

Correct brezzo mate, HTC Sense is not working at the moment. Read it somewhere that it will be the end of January before its up to speed, but wont be holding my breath.

I emailed HTC about it in an email which also asked about updates, they said this:

With reference to HTCSense.com, unfortunately due to server maintenance and performance issues, we were forced to temporarily limit the services offered. However, a fix is currently being established. Full functionality will return at the soonest possible time.

Looks like they are actually doing something about it, or their customer service representatives have been told this.

The question is... when?

HTC reps make things up as they go along...
