Root Couple quick and hopefully easy questions...

My phone has started rebooting randomly (four times in the last 12 hours) and I'm about to go back to verizon to get a replacement but I wanted to check on things first...

1) what is the current most up to date software version pushed out by verizon fo:pr the X?

2) I am rooted using Z4Root. I know I can remove root through there but how do I get rid of the bootstrapper? I don't want to send it back with that on it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Before you send it back do a factory reset. Chances are a file got botched somewhere or an app is going crazy. Google restores everything for you, so it's not a huge deal.

oh they are going to make me do a factory reset when I call I'm sure. I'm not so concerned about that. I'm also planing on getting the bionic when it finally comes out so I'm going to be selling my X and this one has a few minor scuffs on the back of it so a reverb would fix that. That said I would still like to know the answer to those questions...

The latest version verizon has pushed is 2.3.340/2.2.1......all you have to do is install madertcok zip through bootstrapper ....wipe data and cache while installing it and your x will be unrooted and up to date ...(after doing this the app icons for z4 and bootstrap may still be in your app drawer but will not work ....if so just delete the icon)
Here is a link to the file
