Root CPU governor always reverts to ondemand

Anyone working on a kernel (I'm guessing is the problem) that solves this issue?

Weirdly enough . When I repeat the process of setting governor per say "interactive" I usually redo it and repeat it again until it stays in the governor I wanted.

Yeah I try that all day/week long and it always goes back to ondemand

What governor do you want to go to? FYI, on demand seems to be the best choice according to many people.

I want performance not sure what smartass is but if I knew I might use that too but performance is what I'm after

Last I heard, PG was looking for a way to get the governor to stick. I don't know what progress he's made, but he is aware of it and was looking into it. For now ondemand is all you can use

I didnt realize anyone was having problems with this, mine always sticks except for smartass which I have no interest in anyways. I wonder why mine sticks? I usually keep it on Interactive because its a little more responsive with no noticeable battery hit.
What app is everyone using to change it? Im using Setcpu.

Setcpu as well. On the stock ROM, mine stuck, but on any custom ROM it doesn't

I have noticed if i back out of setcpu the governor resets to ondemand regardless of what i had it set as prior, but if i just hit the home key the governor sticks, until i restart my phone. Give it a try

only one I have issues sticking is the smartass one. You can't set the governors via ROM Manager, maybe with ROM Toolbox as it has it a cpu app included, but dunno if it has setting a governor as an option since its a stripped down version of jrummy's android overclock.

ROM toolbox can change governors, but they didn't stick for me. I'll try ROM manager
Edit: the cwm ROM manager? I just dl's it and I see no option for clock speeds or governors

I did when I used the optimus m but now I just want the best performance possible because I've been playing HD games on here among other things..... Yeah PORN LOL j/k

I Tried it, & it worked for me. set on Performance @ 1.8 GHZ

The one thing i notice that i have SetCPU on my screen & the Temp* shows 95.0*F, but when i click on it, hit info, then Battery it shows 105.8*F. now removing it from my main screen, & putting it back the Temp change but still doesn't match. that is why i have Droid Heat Shield App. not in any danger though.

U can make the widget refresh temp every so many seconds
