Root CPU overclock app settings for the Prevail

What would be the best settings for better battery life?

Set your Min to the lowest setting ( you may get a little start up lag though , I set mine to 200 ) then set your Max to the highest setting that you want ( I would set it at either 800 or 900 ) . Set your I/O to either sio or deadline then set your Gov to On-demand . Turning off 3g when not in use will greatly extend your battery charge too .

This thread was created so that users could try the settings that others are using and decide for themselves what works best for them . ;)

Voltage Control
Min-200MHz
Max-900MHz
I/O-sio
Gov-interactiveX

Seems pretty good to me. Decent battery life, and I can play Sonic CD with no lag.

with my setting i have used my phone a little bit today not much and don't know if it says that or what but this is what i have so far for the settings i'm runningView attachment 30261still have 57% left not too bad!!!:D:D:D

Not sure if I have my CPU set for the best.. been trying this out to see how she holds up... my main concern will be when my charger isn't always as convenient as it has been lately

LOL no doubt . It seems that I've got an extra battery or a charger wherever I'm at . It sure comes in handy too . :D

Yeah . Pretty good . Is your 3g on and are in a good location for signal ? If so then it's real good .

How are you guys getting such good battery stat's? I mean I'm running CTMod3.4 with a fresh install. No over clock and I'm getting many six to eight hour's time before it shuts down.

That's because you are probably using yours a good bit . He's not been using his much at all .

When in constant use , the Prevail is a battery hog . No way to get around it and have a phone with decent performance . Plain and simple .;)

for sure when idle can make it good but if doing things forget it (expecially when in cwm, mine will use 20% worth battery when restore or backup )and other than that my battery when used hard will be 100 in temp which i think is ok some will say it will get way too hot when working hard.

I've never seem mine get above 90 .

depends on what i'm doing. if i want to overclock (gaming, navigation, or just have the charger connected so i dont care about battery use) then i just put it to performance at max overclock 946.

if i want to conserve battery (and this works quite well), i set the max clock to 480, governor to smartassv2, i/o i always have set to noop regardless of the clock settings.

with those settings, i see about a 20-30% increase in battery life with general use. while overclocking, i see about a 20% decrease in battery life, it eats it alive. i don't mind though, since i'm nearly always near an outlet when doing battery intense things. for an "every day" overclock, i have tried other settings but dont really have anything specific for it yet. i typically am an all battery or all performance kinda guy.

I was using interactive for a while and had no problem then all of a sudden I started experiencing major lag especially when a call wouldcome in the phone would not wake up properly so that I could answer it.
Bringing the minimum up to 196 I've experienced better wake up times and also setting the governor to lag free 4incoming calls in my profile
