Root CPU Speeds?

Does anyone know a free app that can govern CPU speeds to slow them when the screen is off? I have Tasker, which can do it, but it says the option is not available on the EVO.

Overclock widget can handle that, it's free. Set cpu is nice though but it a couple bucks. Must of us use set cpu

If you're rooted and a member at xda you can get setcpu which is nice. Lets you set overclock and underclock for different times (screen off, 30% battery...etc.)
