Simply rooting phone and not flashing roms will maintain stock htc sense, so what's the point of flashing a sense rom... if you already have sense?
I know a lot say that they are smoother/faster than stock, but if the phone still has the same hardware [pre-defined ram & 1ghz processor] how can it have better performance? I understand the concept of over-clocking [setcpu] but aren't there drawbacks as well from doing that? I guess what I'm trying to find out is if... flashing roms (mainly sense one's) are primarily done for aesthetic purposes or for actually improving functionality?
This is probably one of the reasons I haven't flashed any yet... because I don't really see any that work so much better than what I'm using [launcher pro]. I don't mean for this to be a bash on anyone, just trying to see where all the appeal is. Perhaps some great things can be pointed out to me and get me excited to flash!... [roms of course]
Thanks.
