crazy morning

I got to drive my buddy's Ford GT this morning. Simply mind bending and blowing.

Now need to start saving up for my own. Anyone have a buck to spare?
 
ive never driven one of thos bad larries but ive been tempted to find one to try. Did you get to take it to a track or street driving?

Theres just something about driving supercars thats just... otherwordly. So far ive been behind the wheel of ferrari F430, lamborghini Murcielago, Nissan GTR, a Z06 , an R8 and a viper. my favorite of all of them has had to of been the GTR, i just couldnt believe the level of performance the car pushes out for the price. the lambo and ferrari almost seemed lackluster in comparison (even though they were faster).
 
Wow very nice! I drove it on the street and it was amazing.

I've never even sat in the GTR or any of the other vehicles, except for the viper and z06, which are pretty cool too!
 
a buddy of mine recently test drove that and the camaro

To me, the Mustang was lighter, had more hp, and drove very nice.
The Camaro had plenty of hp, but since it's a heavier vehicle. but has higher top end.

He ended up getting the camaro. He's going through a mid-life crisis for sure.... The mustang, while nice, blended in too much. The camaro is a very sexy car. Much sexier than the mustang. The mustang just blended in too much.
 
I just spent a little time riding around in a Mazda RX-8 today. It's the one with the Wankle Rotory engine. It's got some power ;)

Unfortunately it belongs to my friend's sister-in-law. But she's out of town for a few days so...

i have a 2005 rx-8, it's really not that fast compared to most sports cars. it's mainly designed to excel in cornering/handling performance. Car and driver rated it to have better handling/smoother ride than a corvette z06. Now if you slap a 3-rotor or a greddy turbo in it, that's a different story! 3-rotor turboed can push around 700-800rwhp.

and yes, gritwater, he was talking about a ford GT... mustang is nowhere near being a supercar! i don't like mustangs for the simple fact that it seems like EVERYONE has one, and they just really don't look that cool to me.. that and they usually get smoked :p
 
the RX-8 is a great looking car. I just hope mazda brings back the rx-7. thats one of my favorite cars of all time. @tommy-ed, i was watching a dyno of a twin turbo 3-rotor pushing out 1400hp or something like that, the manifold and exhaust was bright red from the heat out put.

the new mustangs are great cars, im just hoping the new 5.0 engines gain as much aftermarket support as the old 5.0's which was and still is the best part of those mustangs.

yea, its looks are the main reason i got it! and yes, the rx-7 is a badass, i still can't beleive they didn't give rx-8 a turbo :mad:

yea the only mustang i would buy is an 76 or earlier or an 06 or up! I love how car companies are making their cars look like the old muscle cars... im a sucker for a nice big V8 with cams in it **drools** and i haven't like the looks of new muscle cars until recently
 
thats why the challenger is still my favorite. plum crazy paint srt8 hemi challenger... best modern muscle (granted its slow and heavy)

The first glance, I thought it said 'Crazy morning wood'.

I think it's even worse that I clicked on it...
 
agreed, the new challenger is no.1 on my list as well!

as for classics, '71 chevy nova fastback (with a 502 would be nice!) is my number one, followed by '69 Camaro SS
