Root Create a "custom" rom?

Is there a way to kinda create a "custom" rom? it'll be based on CM9. I just want to put my own apps, theme(s), keyboard and replace some if the stock apps that someone could flash as a new rom. I thought about just making a nandroid file and just sharing that, but im guessing that might cause some complications.

As for a good custom ROM for you to create to learn more about development, I have some ideas for apps you can include. F-Droid, Adaway, and Superuser (the one made by Koush, not ChainsDD), Firefox, and Wikipedia. Also if you research individual apps, you may be able to bundle the lite and free versions. When in doubt, ask the devs.

Oh, on the Superuser app that we have on our systems, it's an app within an app. I made one with the new SU in it, seems to work the same. The only reason I didn't release it is because I don't have a developer's key to sign it with. If I don't do it right it could stop working after a while.
