Just checking on you and yours after all the tornadoes we had come through here Wednesday. Not sure you're still around N. Alabama, but your signature says your are. Just a shout out to let us know everything is ok... Thanks.

Yea im here and im fine, my internet was out till saturday. all of my family is ok, and my brother lives in tuscaloosa so thats saying alot. my uncle is a doctor and owns 2 clinics, 1 in phil campbell and one in hackleburg, both are gone and both of those towns are completely gone as well, they got hit harder than tuscaloosa i believe. it got pretty bad around us but we lost power, and internet and cable were both out for a few days but we definitely dodged the brunt of it. i feel bad for those who were not as fortunate as i, i know of a few people who did not make it

and thanks for asking, alot of people are going through hard times now and yesterday there were still 600 people missing. its good to hear how the hard hit communities are coming together, i just wish i wasnt in the middle of finals so i could do more but if anywhere can make it through this i know this is the place

Glad to hear you're ok...bad weather sucks..being through 4-5 hurricanes have made me hate storms..they are mean, nasty, devilish things. I'll never understand people's fascination with storms. As a kid I used to love the coming of spring and summer..I now hate this time of year and the oncoming summer

We had an EF-1 touch down 1/4 mile from us. Had it been one of the 1/2 mile wide EF-4/5 monsters they are reporting struck all around us, well our house wouldn't be here. Our power came up late Sunday night, internet yesterday afternoon.

A little disappointed in AT&T. When the power went out (and mind you it was pretty catastrophic the damage done to TVA's transmission towers) my wife and daughter still had service through Verizon (no 3G, but cell still worked). AT&T went dark - completely.

i luckily never lost service. i think the verizon network here got overloaded as one of my friends who was staying with me because i had a basement had service on verizon, but his texts wouldnt send. and i never completely lost data either which i needed because i had emails from teachers i was waiting for a response from, now i did have to wait till midnight and go outside to get it to work but that was better than nothing.

glad you made it out ok though
