Root ctmad 2.4 to cm7

Since I am still unable to connect via USB is it possible for me to install cm7 zip and just run it after factory reset? I know the kernels are different but I thought it was a whole package deal. If someone can help I'd appreciate it.

I flash back and forth between CT Mod 2.4 and CM7 almost every other day and just do a factory reset and wipe the Dalvik Cache. No Problems yet. Just make sure you have complete versions of both Roms and you should be fine. I keep both ROMS on my SD so I can flash on the go.

No problem. I run CM7 and the v6 Supercharger and can get Quadrant scores ranging from 1750 to my high of 1999. CM7 seems to run really smooth if you play with it some.
