What is the reason for a curved screen? Better viewing, better what? Not sure I can see a benefit other than someone saying it fits your face better, but then it wouldn't fit your front pocket as well I don't think. Seems more expensive to make curved glass, expensive cases and docks. I don't think they would do that just for fun. Any guess as to the reason?

Definitely feels much better on your face, that's really the only reason I can think of. The curved screen feels great on my Nexus S.

Its also easier to reach the top end of the screen if its inward curved. Less distance convered. So even if its 4.5inches, it wont necessarily feel so big.

Personally, I think it's more of an aesthetic choice rather than a functional one. Aside from the ergonomic argument (across the face), nothing else anyone as mentioned makes much sense to me. Case makers must hate this kind of form factor.

Anyway, if people like it, you'll see more curved screens. If not, well, it was worth the experimentation...

As for me, it's more like they couldn't really come up with anything else that's different from whats already out there, so "yea, let's curve the screen - selling point!" Or Am I just being synical here?
