sorry, i know this has been posted, but i can't find it in the sprint hero forums. i'm wanting to change my boot animation. i've found instructions in other forums using the search feature. so, is this one of those things that's pretty standard(both the fascinate and optimus instructions are very similar) where i can follow the instructions from the other forums or do i need to do something specific to the hero, if so can someone link me to the appropriate thread?

Not sure what boot animation you want but look for one that is specific to your rom, otherwise you will get boot looped. Look here Hero CDMA Themes and Apps - xda-developers
apart from finding them here, how can i tell? and as you linked me to the Hero CDMA forum and not an AOSP forum i must ask clarification, for my ROM or for my phone?
