Root custom boot question

Im trying to make a boot animation from a music vid...how long can a boot ai
On triumph be?

I'm not exactly sure but I think as long as all the images are in the part0 folder it will play them all. Until it loops or goes into the part1 folder is when it quits booting up. At least that's what has happened for me.

I think the only limit is the amount of room for it in the system (or sd card for MIUI theme). I did notice that larger/higher pixel stills, higher number of stills, more sluggish the animation is to begin. 16 stills, 480x800, 200 dpi, not too many colors is manageable; I noticed sluggishness start at 30 stills, multicolor, same size

I was wanting to make some of my own animations. I have found some video to picture converters. I found one I like (A4ImageVideoConverter), but I don't like the price.
I was wondering what stuff other people are using.

Sorry if I hijacked your thread.

I'm trying it on the movie X-Men.:D
It will be re-dunk-u-less
5712 individual images

Yeah....that's a bit much lol. Considering you can't compress boots at all, that would be an unmanageable file size. I take it that's a pretty short amount of video, too. I used Photoshop animation frame and used individual still images to make a loop, so that's backwards from what you're trying. Perhaps you can find a series in the clip of images that only spans like 20-30 individual frames that's repeatable/loopable without too much jumping?

It was purely for testing purposes. AAAAAnd it's too big. I have found the limit. Your memory. It needs to load into RAM first. There for it needs to be under your free RAM amount. And I don't think a boot animation should be that big.

I remade it to be MUCH shorter. I'll report back later. It's still over 200MB.
