Accessories Custom Made Incredible Dock

got my order in. can't wait to see it in person- I'm tired of only seeing pictures!

I plan to pimp this at work where there are plenty of others with a DInc. You may just get some more business...

Finally after months of reading and seeing pictures I now have a confirmed order and have paid for this Dock. Glad I am in and should have it soon.

Any idea when the next batch of docks will go out?

Hey John,

I was wondering if you could start taking a few shots of the different color options and engraving as you make them, and add it to the photo gallery on the site ? It would be great to get an idea of what the different colors actually look like.

Keep up the awsome work, Ill be ordering 2 as soon as my car repairs are done :(

Thanks

Paul

That is a good idea, and I will definetly do that. With this new batch I noticed a few people are requesting some text other than the "Red Incredible" which seems to be popular ;-).

I will post some pics as soon as they are engraved.

The only option(s) currently is/are the engraving and the color of the fill of the engraving, correct. You don't currently offer any color options on the body, right? I know there was discussion of that earlier in the thread (anodized vs. paint being the best option, but you did not have access to a local firm to do it yet, right?) but I haven't seen anything about that since or on the order site. Thanks, again, for your great work!

Got mine today and it's awesome! So easy to assemble my kids did it for me.

Is there any type of program that shows a clock or something when it's plugged in? I know Motorola has it built in.

Got it. Thanks John. Looks great. Added an Android sticker to the backrest and will probably paint the word Incredible, but not sure of color yet.

If you decide to paint the incredible let me give you a really easy way to do it.

1.) tape off around the engraved area.

2.) paint and let dry then remove tape.

3.) get a piece of 220 grit wet dry sand paper and a flat surface.

4.) place the sand paper on the flat surface, sand back and forth and it will remove the overspray leaving nice tight lines in the engraved area. ;-).

Yes you are correct.

I would like to add an anodize option, but haven't really looked into it yet.

Cradle arrived today and I think it is even better in person than the pictures.

I got the incredible ingraved but no color.

If you want to color it yourself with a custom color it is very easy to do.

I used touch up paint from my Dodge Ram "INFERNO RED". I just brushed painted into the engraving and let stand for just alittle bit. This way you don't have to mask off. I think I waited maybe 15 minutes. You don't really need to let it fully dry as this would make it harder to remove paint from surface.
I use a paper towel folded so it was nice and tight. So it wouldn't get down in the ingraving.
So it only touches the suface.
I used alittle cleaning solvent, but fingernail polish remover or something similar would proubaly work also. Just dampen the paper towel just a little, not to the dripping point, and wipe paying attention to not make a mess. I mean to turn or refold towel so your not just smearing the paint around.
I have detailed many things over the years using this method. Except for waiting for it to dry alittle. I spent more time shaking the bottle of paint than actually doing the work.

This is a non distructive method so you don't mess up that brushed finish that John so nicely done with his CNC.

Thanks John for making us such a fine product.
Just ordered me another one I liked it so much!!!

Order mine today (before noon), and just got the "SHIPPED" e-mail this afternoon! Thanks John! I've already tried 3 other docks/cradles and they've ALL died within 3 weeks! I was giving up hope until I saw your design.

Great work on these!

They look great and I hope you are making some $$

Where do you guys use these primarily? Work? Home? Both?

I'm just not convinced I use my phone enough in landscape mode to get one. But I still want one.

Just got confirmation yesterday that my dock shipped, I can't wait. @Scooz16, even if you just put it in the dock when you go to bed at night, it would stand up nicely in desktop mode to view the clock. However I intend to use mine on my desk at work.
