I have sold quite a few of these things, more than I thought I would have lol.

I just finished designing a dock for the Droid X also, I should have it up in the next couple of weeks. Its pretty cool.

I got mine a while ago and have been loving it ever since. I use it almost exclusively to use my phone as a clock at night while charging and I couldn't be happier, I just regret not getting a little engraving on there. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

That's cool, I am glad you like your dock. I actually have one by my bed, and one out in the shop for music, I love it.

Anyways...take care and again, glad you dig the dock ;-).

I did make a couple modifications. I widened the inset because one of my covers is much thicker than the normal ones. I also slotted the backrest to accommodate for the different sized back covers.

So, besides the minor blemishes or painting imperfections, what do you guys think?

I have been asked time and time a gain for a black version and since I hate painting and don't have a powder coater or anodizer close by. I ordered some black acrylic and will be offering that as an option. Should look pretty sweet. I will also offer the black version at a discounted price.

I will post some pictures after I finish one.

Thanks! I've been working on it from just about day one when I got it! I did look into anodizing/powder coating, but the price was ridiculous. Everyone wanted around $60 per color. But then I couldn't do the two tone thing with that either.

Thanks for that help. Yea, I checked. He posted he was working on an all black dock. Since there is nothing on his website I asked here, hence the question.

Where'd you hear that? It works fine with my case. The power connector and back are adjustable specifically to accommodate most cases.

I didn't realize android forums was a sales, advertising marketplace.

Dude, people need/want/should have options. The one I posted probably won't work w/ a case and would take some work to make the USB function as this one does. But maybe that is worth $20.00+ to some people. :rolleyes:

Do either one of you know what your talking about? Have you bothered reading this thread from the start. Just a couple of threads up "YOU" were promoting a differen't product! If you knew anything about the Dock that we asked John to make us you would know that these are completely different Docks. There were no Docks out there and John listened to us and made what we asked for. Hundreds and hundreds of people wanted and bought these. They are not a piece of bent plastic you just sit your phone on they are Docking stations. The usb cables are attached to the dock so all you have to do is place your phone on it and your all connected to charge sync or whatever.
