Accessories Custom Made Incredible Dock

I just want to say thanks John. Got mine a couple weeks ago and it's been great. I only wish I got the engraving.
 
Nope it won't push you back at all. I will get it sent out tomorrow. The hole thing with the list was to hold everyone over until I got a website up and running. I know it sucks for people that have been waiting, but that list is a pain to maintain and update, it is also a pain to send out individual invoices to everyone. This will be much better. And now we can focus on just making the product ;-).


What can I do to get the ingraving done? I am not seeing that as an option on the site. I would like to do the red Incredible that I have seen on other posts.
 
Great work again John.... I just transitioned my order to the website. was 126 on the list. I'm sorry to anyone that I may have displaced.

I put all my requests for engravings in the comments... Johns has been so on top of things, I believe this will be the easiest way to make a request available to him.

Just click on the dock and you have complete customization for engraving (text, color).

Definitely not! He's set up the site to allow you to specify exactly how you want the engraving done including updating the order total.
 
Well guys I launched the site last night with 50 in the inventory and they are all gone lol. Damn, that was fast, I was expecting that lol. I received a new shipment of metal today and will replenish the stock in a few days.

Now I can't place an order because they are out of stock. Anyway you could remove that option from your checkout?
 
John, the site looks great but I am now a bit confused. I just tried to place an order but, as you mentioned above, it shows “Out of Stock”. Is there an option to pay and wait on back order? Or do I need to keep checking the site and hope that I jump on it as soon as they are restocked? I was hoping that you would fulfill your existing customers before you enable others to jump in front of the queue – but I understand the pain involved with invoicing, etc.
 
I really hate to do back orders. I don't like taking money from people when I don't have a product to ship. I think that I could get into trouble by doing that. However if you create an account you will be notified by email when they are in stock again. I just got another shipment of metal in today and will replenish the stock by the weekend.

Just wanted to say that I just got my two docks - one for me and one for the other missus and they are superb. Went for engraving as well, 1 red and 'tother purple (she's the red one!).

Very happy with them both and finally our phones have a permanent home when not in use! :)

Sigh... I've been following this thread since the first page and rejected the list since I was one of the first that said I would buy a couple. I finally got my name on the list when it looked like that was being used for orders instead. Now the stupid list is gone and I can't even order one because they are out of stock. Looks like I'll just build my own docks. I've had enough of this game. End Rant...
It's still a great looking dock though. Maybe I'll check it out again when demand goes down if I haven't made my own by then.
 
Is there any sort of confirmation that the items have shipped? I ordered through the web site quickly after it was online. It took my order and I received an order confirmation and the money was taken from my account. However, I have heard nothing since.

Just curious.
 
I just got mine. I love it! John did a great job. And yes he does send you an e-mail with USPS traking number when it ships. All around great service and product. I could not be happier.
 
This was a few weeks ago, I dont know if it's still possible, so that's why I was asking :D

I sent him an email earlier in the day asking if it's shipped and too late to change and haven't heard back from him. I'll keep you guys updated if I hear anything.

Yes i believe it does, think the original list is been trashed. Thanks to Kevinbakon(right?) for maintaining it in the first place. But now that nairz has his site up it will be much easier to spend his time actually making the product.

This is my understanding as well.
Since he posted that his site was up & for everyone to start placing orders, I stopped maintaining the list.
Unless otherwise indicated by John/n2airz, the list is officially dead.
(He's a stand-up guy though & I suspect he'll be partial to the members on the list).
 
Seriously tho, if he can turn them out and come up with a few more to please the rest of the droid population..... He's gonna do very well. A guy with a cnc who knows what he's doing, such as him, who also listens to what the public wants.... thats a rare thing. I mean this is only one phone he's doing this for, think of how man others out there would love a quality product, that is not only customizable, but can be personalized as well. I wish you well dude, and now we can all say that it started here! Give all of yourselves a pat on the back, for helping him launch would could be a great business venture.
 
I know that there was a suggestion about anodizing in black (or other colors, I guess) as that would be the best way to do it. I know that would increase the cost, but I have no idea by how much. Black, with "Incredible" engraved and colored red would be pretty sweet. Yes, yes, I am asking for the world while looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth. :D I am truly awestruck by this thread and this amazing entreprenurial success story. Major kudos!
 
Anyone else having trouble with the "contact us" link on john's website? It's not working. I've tried direct email with John's papal "hotmail" email address but no reply. I placed my order 9/21,6:48 am and haven't heard from john. Not rushing. I know he's busy. I just wanted current status update and to make sure there's not a problem since I only received paypal's payment confirmation.
