Root CUSTOM MTD PARTITION HELP - NEW s-OFF

1.I was going to use one of the custom mtd guide to resize my partition table what would be the best partition table for me.

Quick System Info
Cyanogenmod -7.0.2.1
Darktremor Apps2sd
Clockworkmod Recovery

A2sd Storage: 457 MB free 68.96
Internal Storage: 148 MB free 86.32
System Storage 250 MB free 119 Mb
System Cache 40 Mb free 35.42 Mb

Dalvik Cache is on SD-ext

Also any precaution I need to take and which is the best method to resize partition. Thought check with the experts before doing anything silly!!
 
If you're staying on that Rom, 135MB for system sounds fine.

What Rom is it?

If its not cm or redux, you can download one of those Roms, take the system/etc/init.d/06mountdl script out and put it on the same place on your Rom. It checks cache size and if smaller than an app you want to download, will use data instead of cache.

Means cache can be 3MB

1.I followed the complete guide in your signature for custom partitioning system, cache and data. Followed every step, but after reboot my parition size hasnt changed?Still default 250,40,148

2.I tried to use Alpha rev partion by placing pb99.img its says CID Incorrect Update Fail.

3. Tried using Alpha rev thru fastboot again error.

Is there something else i need to do besides gaining S-off thru Alpha rev to parition the system , cache and data?

are you s-off already?

you cannot gain s-off via the way that you are doing if you are not s-off currently. those are for updates or changes

you gain s-off by using the alpharev.iso burning it to CD and booting to it . connect device when prompted

i am already s-off. I gained s-off thru alpha rev.
 
make sure your text file has the correct name "mtdpartmap.txt" and it contains the correct text, eg "mtd 130 5"

You have to reboot recovery after flashing the first zip.

THANKS got it working
running now dev null 1.0.2 ...wow its super fast
system 90 MB
Internal Storage 338 MB

I dont think so I am going to need A2sd+ now....!!!!
