and i end up with a brick, after the first reboot the lg screen an the bottom buttons just stay on, doesn't load anything, i need your help, i've tried everything, hard reset wont work, please i need help, it's my first android phone and i don't wanna lose it!!, thank you so much.

:cool:Ok. The good news is that there is a solution.:D Not trying to be funny! but you got to read all the info within this forum alone and you'll learn the right steps to execute to fix almost any problem. Today is your lucky day:D because I've been where your at.:) One way to resolve your problem is to goto LG web site here:
Mobile Support
Download LG Mobile Support Tool to PC

You will see the above, click on the download button and download the LG mobile support tool to your computer. If you don't have the usb drivers already loaded on your computer, this tool will read your phone and show which drivers to download. After you've downloaded the tool, run it and then connect your bricked phone to your computer, the tool will read your phone, show you the drivers to download, then you install the drivers, and the tool will check to see if your phone has the latest LG firmware updates; HERE IS WHERE YOU UPDATE YOUR PHONE BY CLICKING THE UPDATE BUTTON and the program will do the rest. (DO NOT DISCONNECT NOR TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING. IT WILL TELL YOU WHEN THE UPDATE IS FINISHED)
WARNING!!! LG's update will fix a brick phone by restoring it to LG factory setting and will put 2.2.2 on your phone. You will have to downgrade IF you want to root your droid again; and the instruction are here in the forum. BUT:mad: please read all the info in the many threads on downgrading and rooting your Optimus M droid. The instruction here are simple because the LG tool does the work; but should you get stuck following the above, click on my user name here and message me. Either way, let others know if you were successful or not here.

@playfulGod... I successfully downgraded a new LG Optimus M 2.2.2 to 2.2.1 and then successfully rooted and flashed your recovery, but when I flashed the rom, that's when the phone just stayed on the startup/reboot screen. I pulled the battery and rebooted again, same issue. I went back into recovery and wiped everything so I could reflash it, and got a black screen. I resolved the problem by updating the phone thru LG update support tool; then took the phone back to MetroPCS and received another new phone. Is it possible that LG put something in the firmware stopping full root control? Or is there a glitch with the rom? Im a noob so dont think i know enough to tell you your rom doesn' twork, just asking a question and trying to figure out why there are so many different results with users flashing your rom?.
