Root Custom ROM request!

I would like to know if any developers are taking custom ROM request because i have an idea for one but i dont have the programming skills to implement it.

Probably not.
Prevail has a small owner base. Therefore a smaller group of individuals with the proper skill set to do so.
Your best bet honestly is to try learn to make or do whatever you want on your own.

That is not always the case. Our devs are very approachable. Blood might curse at you a little, kouma will definitely make you feel dumb, hroark might tell you to f*** off. And Shabby he will give you a rom to steal. As long as you promise to take all the credit. Jk.. These guys are great just throw an idea out there, and if it is good someone just might help.

All I can tell you is, if Blood gets out his waffle iron, RUN

I would like to hear new ideas for a ROM, that does not mean I can or will make one. I consider myself a very noobish dev, but I am learning.
We need more people doing dev work on this phone, and I try to encourage people to try and learn, and try to provide help and tools for them to do so.

I started work on CM again, and it is kicking my butt, but I am determined to get it done, so I probably wont take on any new projects
 
^^^ i want to make mods, roms. pretty much anything i can do if i can get some basics down. im a quick learner i just need some help on the right track

do you have a computer setup with Linux?

you should set one up, and read about how to make a Android build system, there are a lot of tuts out there

this is my first android phone and i haven't really used linux till recently

pretty much everything i do i learn as i go from a ****load of testing and searching, If i can't find out how to do what i want i looked for somebody else that has done it and figure out how they did it. If i can't find that then i try to make my own way of doing it.

the problem alot of people have when they want to learn how to do shit is they actually use prevail in their searches, don't do that cause really other then hroarks kernel packer and kouma's odin image creator and maybe a few other things you won't find shit

the easiest way to search for info is to go to google and type something like this
site:forum.xda-developers.com theming

searching xda with google like that will pretty much find anything you need or want if you look hard enough and word things right, it doesn't matter what phone you find the info on cause pretty much if you learn how to do something on one android phone you can figure out how to do it on another

Thats amazing bloodawn, hard to belive to be honest with you. You gave us one of the best roms for this phone. crazy i tells ya....... You should be proud :D
 
ill try & help out but my psu died on my build i had ubuntu installed as well but im no pro. once i get a new psu ill give it a shot
 
Yeah bloodawn surprised to hear this information, but inspiring at the same time. you made the best rom period....its simply amazing...
 
i would love to see a sense ROM for the prevail. i love CM7, but i come from a history and family of HTCs, so sense is hard to beat for me. wonder if the wildfire S would make a good donor phone for such a thing since the processor is similar and the screens are the same size. or am i wishfully barking up the wrong tree?
