Custom ROMs For ICS?

Is there a list of all the ICS custom ROMs available for the S2 so far?

I have tried both Thebyani and Cyanogenmod so far. Thebyani crashes with com.android.acore all the time and Cyanogenmod is missing features (maybe because there are just nightly builds, but I really need to sync my Google contacts with my phone and if CM is missing I'm not using it).

So yeah, what other alternatives are there?

Since there has not been an official release of ICS for the SGSII, all the custom ICS ROM's so far have been based on leaked, pre release, beta versions.

At the time of writing, there is no such thing as a 100% stable and fully functional custom ICS ROM for the SGSII.

The versions that are out now are, "ersatz", versions and it really is a case of finding one that sort of causes the least problems.

Bearing in mind that the official release of ICS for the SGSII is mooted as being this month, I would wait for that.

Hope this helps. :D

Guess I will play with other Gingerbread-based ROMs till it officially comes out.
Thanks for your answer :).

JKay is already developing his ICS version of Deluxe Settings.
Gokhan has stated Siyah 2.6.13 is the final GB release of his kernel, so presumably he is currently working on his ICS kernel.
Leo+Gadget have said that they are currently working on CheckROM v7 ICS and it will be released in as little as two to four days after they get the official ICS source, so they have obviously been developing their ROM for quite some time on leaked sources, and will go through it all with the official sources asap once obtained.

I'm not contemplating any ICS ROM other than CheckROM v7.
I'm hoping it won't be too messy a job to switch back to v6 if necessary, as I'm more than happy with CheckROM v6 GB to be honest, but I'm always up for a good flash. :)

All the big guns are already developing with leaked ICS versions of source, but none can release their work until they have hold of the official sources from Samsung, or if sammobile issue an "official leak", as it would be far too risky for them to do so. Its imminent. I'd stick my neck out and say I would be shocked if its not "mainstream" by 4 weeks time, so by the end of March/beginning April. Just be wary of a release on April 1st! :)

ironass, a happy bunny!

And I also, I think it is safe to assume that due to the fact that there has not been a hint of a NEAR ROM release, that this too will be ICS based, and will no doubt come out at around the same time as CheckROM v7.

:)

Hawker... I love it when you talk dirty! ;)

Now that it's been released in some areas, are there any Custom ROMs based on the official build rather than on leaks and betas? *Is impatient*

I've only tried AndyX Rom and I think I might have to divorce my new wife and marry the Rom, it's that good! Perhaps i'll photoshop some of the wedding photos and replace her with the rom...

It's very reliable and stable (though can't say the same for Siyah atm). I hear good things about wanamlite too!

Hey guys, just a quick question: I am currently on CheckROM, if i flash official XXKI4 from here [ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KL1/2/3/LA2,4/LB2,LPE/Q/7 Download - xda-developers will i then be able to update to ICS via kies? Also is the official 4.0.3 update DEFINITELY coming out tomorrow? (for the UK)

So long as you are flashing an official, unbranded, UK firmware and kernel, you will be able to update to ICS via Kies.

The release for ICS is the week commencing the 19th March.

used criskelo ROM for less than a day, lpq is too buggy, until Samsung release a stable ics ROM its not worth it. The devs are trying so hard but ultimately they are working with a broken source.
I went back to V6 and until GC and Leo do their stuff im not budging

ive been playing with wanamlite and andyrom ics for the past week, and they offer absolutely nothing over checkv6 and siyah.
