Root Customized for stock MMS?

I'm running BrokenOS rom, one thing that i don't like is the stock MMS app , is there a way that this app can be customized? (background color...etc)

You can try layers or just get a better sms client, there's dozens in the play store

Layers only apply in the bottom of the status bar,it doesn't change background or inside contacts text msg.

Then you'll need to learn how to modify the apk or just use another app I believe.

Use google messenger instead. Its nearly identical to the stock MMS app except that almost all layers themes have an overlay for customizing the look of google messenger.
