Root Cwm 3

Would the wrong version of cwm affect the performance of the rom? I installed CM7 with cwm 3.x and downgraded to 2.x to install mms fix and haven't upgraded.
 
it seems to be working fine, except that i cant overclock it...every one i d/l says i need to upload the module, when i try it says my model isnt supported? never had this problem with Icarus... hmm
 
nope that wont have any affect on how the ROM runs, just installs n backups with a few other utilities.

CM6 n CM7 for the Ascend arent officially supported is why it says that.

If your on CM7 just go to CM Settings and change the cpu settings there. There is no need for third party overclocking apps.
 
to update to CWM3 using ROM Manager do i select flash clockwork recovery? and will i have to install all my apps and stuff again? should i back everything up before i do it? i know you should always backup.. i just choose not to :)

what affect the OS/Apps at all.

using that link in the app tho just dl's the current public release and installs it.

to downgrade you have to push from a computer. And tats how I been upgrading back up, but I guess just hitting that option would do it too lol

I tried to downgrade putting the phone in fastboot amd running the windows app then the install recovery.bat and when I boot into recovery after that it still remains 3.0.0.5. How do I downgrade back to 2.xxx?

does it say that in cwm or rom manager? when boot into cwm 2 it will be green and orange for 3.
