Root [CWM] A2 Clockworkmod Recovery 4.0.1.4

Now Available in ROM Manager!!! :D

I flashed the latest cwm via rom manager and it gave me a confirmation of being successfully flashed. When I boot into recovery it doesn't boot into cwm recovery. It still boots into the stock android recovery. Any idea what I need to do differently?

Just got it to work (not really). "flash_image" is not installed on the phone. I had to get it from elsewhere. Then i flashed the image using it. When i boot into recovery, it gives me the initial options, but i cant select them. When i select them, all options disappear. I tried to flash it three times. Still no go. I have to first cd to the directory where flash_image is located, then use the program.

link to flash_image:
Help please :)

Thought it might help. Download it from link on fourth post. extract it to the sd card, but not in a folder. Download the recovery.img file in the sd card, but not in a folder. enter command:
Now open rom manager and it should say the current recovery image is "clockworkmod 3.x.x.x".

Update: the recovery works only through rom manager. Booting into recovery still wont work! Is this normal?

I tried this method and it told me "flash_image: permission denied"
Any idea why it is saying this?

Oh really? Why is it I can't get it? I have done it about 40 times and still sticks on white huawei screen. (U8160 was the only recovery option...)

Now I am stuck. I have literally 10 pages open in my browser right now and all of them say something different, but none of them work.

I have 'recovery.img' and 'flash_image' but I don't think flash_image is installed and all the guides require knowledge that the common man doesn't know, or the method fails all together.

All I want is CWM. Why does it have to be so hard?
