Me and PG have tried all sorts of ways. I have compiled cwm with transparent 1px images even, recovery just wont flash. I have given up trying to mod this phone,biggest pos I have ever owned.
 
I tried downloading a coolpad update via check for update in about phone and one downloaded but errored in recovery mode install. anyone else having this issue
?
 
I used the check for update option in the settings/about phone/check for update. it downloaded a 3.5mb update.zip and rebooted into recovery and errored out something about code 7. I tried installing it manually from sd card in recovery and it gave a different error. something with the update I presume. and I tried this on rooted and non rooted. I was already up to date with the updates from the website as well.
 
i don't know what tried to download, but it is not the official update. the official update is 8mb. unless maybe it's an update for the chinese ver and coolpad fuq'd up and it's showing up for ours. if it don't flash, don't worry about it and don't try to force it to flash.
 
I didn't, I left it as is. I accidentaly reset my phone while doing it, but I am so glad I did cause I went down a different path with the phone this time. And I enjoy it so much more than before. My fianc
