take out the mem card and put this on it http://androidforums.com/evo-design...78-root-stock-rooted-rom-no-cwm-required.html (if you have another phone or the microsd to Sd adapter. but either way, doing the "fullstock" i believe is your only option of fixing this issue. Just gotta root it again man. Delete all files on your computer for this device (as they may be corrupted which may have caused the issue to begin with), redownload them, and try again

ok this is going to sound real stupid, but when you said extract .img do you mean recovery, boot, and system file all three on the sd card or do we extract just one with PH44IMG.zip for the text ony?? I sound like a newbie when I'm honestly use to messing with the prevail which is why
I'm so sorry I'm used to using the entire zip file and never done this before like that..
sorry for the dumb question

I really appreciate your help.

Correction, sorry haven't done this in a while you do NOT extract the files. It stays in the .zip folder, however download this http://www.battlefieldsingleplayer.com/apachethunder/htcdev/fullstock_PH44IMG.zip it will completely replace CWM with the stock one forcing you to redo it (which is what needs to be done). and like i said previously. you will want to REDOWNLOAD CWM recovery as the file you downloaded may have been corrupted while downloading. So i would advise redownloading :P umm... thats about all i have other than make sure to rename the "fullstock_PH44IMG.zip" which i linked above to "PH44IMG.zip" before moving to SD card

1 System fail-pu
2 boot fail-pu
3 recovery fail-pu

Ok it was parsing and then it says Partition update fail.....

its not working!

fak... the only other 2 things i can think of..
Options:
1. back up everything on SD card, Reformat, put back in phone with just the fullstock zip file.

2. redo the steps on http://androidforums.com/evo-design...sh-cwm-get-latest-update-1-11-653-0-root.html to try reinstalling CWM..

if that wont help ya i gotta throw in the towel on this one and you'll need to get with somebody more experienced such as cookiefrog, 2fast88 or apachethunder. :/ i tried man..

it keeps saying failed... like it wiped my phone completely. I didn't even do anything to it to begin with. it just restarted and stayed stuck on htc went into cwm and those are the error messages I get. It won't let me do anything restore or nothing... thanks for helping me..
If anything I guess I'll have to see if htc can repair my phone.

What? The clockworkmod file only has two files inside the zip. Android-txt.info and recovery.img it sounds by the name files you Posted that you are trying to parse a ROM not the clockworkmod recovery file. As a ROM would have a boot.img a system.img and a recovery.img is its a zip from an ruu.

What are you trying to do?

lol travis told me to extract the .img files from the full_stock but then he wrote me back saying that I just needed to take full stock rename it to PH44IMG and stick in on sdcard I did all that. I'm trying to recover my htc boost mobile evo.

Yesterday I wasn't doing anything to it and it restarted and stayed stuck on the HTC Screen. so I went to my recovery (CWM unlocked) and it started giving me errors shown on post #1 it will let me go into restore but then it will all of a sudden show those errors again.

So I tried to use the full stock and it will parse then show errors
boot -fail PU
system- fail PU and
recovery -fail PU
underneath it says failed system partition failed.

so I try using fastboot the recovery recovery command and it still fails.. its like its erased. the phone won't boot at all.

go figure, I'm actually a female using my hubby's sceen name, 7 months preggo with a brick for a phone..lol any help would me appreciated. I'm so out of options wish this was as easy as fixing a prevail. :/

however youre completely unable to push anything to your phone using fastboot? possibly remove the recovery.img from the fullstock zip and install it using fastboot on your computer. if you haven't tried that i would recommend it

instructions are as followed :
Unzip the Fullstock download and paste the recovery.img file in your platform-tools folder
Make certain, on your phone, under Settings>Develop Option that USB debugging is selected.
Connect your phone to your PC with the USB cable
Shift-Right-click in the platform-tools folder and select "Open command window here"
Type in "adb devices" (without quotes)to ensure that your device is recognized.
Type in "adb reboot bootloader"
Now in fastboot, with an unlocked bootloader, type in the command window, "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

no dice:

C:\Android SDK\platform-tools>adb reboot bootloader

C:\Android SDK\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (4134 KB)...
OKAY [ 2.840s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: image update error)
finished. total time: 4.202s

it won't do a damn thing!

i've done a bit of reading on that error and found 0 solutions.. Only good thing i read was that HTC MAY* still replace the motherboard under warranty (which is what will have to be done).

*I say may because the person who i had read about got theirs replaced under warranty still.

These errors will not make recovery not boot or shouldn't any way. I've got them a few times and nothing happened. I also never exactly found out the cause but seemed to do it a certain way I shut the phone off or installed cwm. In your case I am not sure what you did. Nor am I sure what is really wrong as the cache partition shouldn't have any affect as I said. How ever the only way to really try to fix it is use the boost stock ruu, that rooted stock rom isn't a stock rom or ruu. It won't fix jack but the system image. You will need to go on to xda and search for football's leaked ruu's. He has your guys stock ruu, but you will need to edit the misc image and push it to the phone before the ruu will run. Where you need to pull it and edit the firmware version to that of the ruu.

How ever you aren't mentioning what you truely did to mess the phone up to the state it is in. As the cache error cwm will still boot. If the phone won't boot that is another issue. Where if it won't boot it is something that you had caused, as if it were a hardware failure it would 99% of the time not even power on. As in not even make it to the h-boot.

I found one and waiting for it to download. I will try this and get back to you. To be honest I have no idea what happened, I was reading a message on babycenter (I'm preggo, papo is hubby) and then it restarts and stays stuck on htc screen. It would not boot the phone at all (like I can't use it) the only thing that works is the volume down and power button to HBOOT and the recovery part goes to cwm but it loads all those errors and it won't let me restore anything..

I will try this as soon as it downloads and let you know if anything. Thanks for your reply. I feel like I still have hope.

I can ony find boost ruu RUU_Kingdom_ICS_35_S_Sprint_WWE_Boost_1.05.653.3_Radio_1.11.00.0418_2_NV_Boost_3.42_0418_PRL61007_release_257747_signed exe not in zip form

Does anyone have a link to boost stock ruu?

ok nevermind I figured out how to make it zip just need the updated ruu think that's the older one..

found RUU_Kingdom_ICS_35_S_Sprint_WWE_Boost_1.10.653.2_Radio_1.11.00.0418_2_NV_Boost_3.42_0418_PRL61007_release_262178_signed.exe
think this is the latest.. does anyone know what misc image I need to push for this to work?

Run the ruu on the desktop through the first screens and find the /user/tmp folder where it unpacked everything and in there you will find the zip file for the actual ROM

oh if that was the misc img yes I did that, thank you and made it a zip (PH44IMG) and changed the text to mainver: 1.11.653.0 but that didn't parse at all it just goes back to the volume down + power screen. I changed the mainver: 1.11.653.2 and it said parsing and then stopped went back to volume down + power screen.

I'm I doing something wrong?

update:
tried it again with mainver: 1.11.753.0 thru fastboot this is what I get
