Did you make backup and what rom you try to flash

Jenny, download tolth's touch recovery img using your phone and be sure it's on the root of your sdcard. Also your device must be rooted so you can download a 'terminal emulator' from Google Play. So if you meet the criteria of having your device rooted then.

1. Download CWM Touch recovery.img to your sdcard
2. Download a Terminal Emulator from Google Play
3. Open Terminal Emulator and type su for root privilages.
4. in terminal emulator after su "dd if=/sdcard/6031-touch-recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery" Be sure to use the dd command without the quotes and be sure the '6031-touch-recovery.img ' is the exact same name as the one placed in your sdcard root.

That should be pretty much all you need to do. The touch-recovery img I used in the example was the name of tolth's touch recovery.

Ooohhh lol thanks for clarifying I feel stupid now but I kept seeing that word thrown around and had no clue. So thanks :p

ok so I followed the instructions and downloaded cwmtouchrecovery. To as card and typed in path name n all. My phone did reboot after a few tries, but now IM not sure if I did it correctly. Is there a way to tell if I did? Omg u guys IM so stoked right now lol:D

Turn your phone off. Then hold the power button and volume up button at the same time. Keep holding it until it boots into recovery. If it boots into cwm then you did it correctly.

Ok ill try it now what is the difference between cwm and the regular recovery boot. Is th ere anything special i should look for? See i thought id done it coreectly before but im pretty sure it just went into the regular recovery boot
