Root Cyanogen Mod 6 (Froyo) Released!!

I flashed to 6.0.1 via Rom Manager about 2 hours ago and I love it so far. I'll report back with any issues I find.

6.0.1 worked great for me the first time. I dont know what the deal is. On another note its smooth as all hell :) I hope BT A2DP is working though....otherwise I'll ditch it faster than you can say CM6.0.1 ;)

EDIT: Ok, bt streaming audio is still completely borked. Does anybody know why or how to fix it? Very frustrated
 
After updating to 6.0.1 my phone is being ******ed... never had issues with RC3, had slight issues with 6.0 stable, but it seems like after RC3 it's gotten less and less stable, not *more* stable.

I'm actually tempting to bail on CM altogether, wait until IncredibleDoes gets his V1 out and see if that's more solid. Until then I'll probably use the released leak for the final OTA they're going to push out.
 
6.0.1 seems pretty stable for me. Unlike 6.0.0, 6.0.1 isn't overclocked. Nevertheless, I think I'm going to stick with Virtuous ROM 2.3 and maybe try CM again when it's a couple releases down the line. All the reboots with 6.0.0 really put me off!
 
After playing with it for a bit I got the newest version to load up. So far so good. Everything seems to be working properly. If I have any issues I will lets you know.
 
I just installed cyanogen 6 on my mytouch. However, it does not include the marketplace app. How do I get this so that I can download more apps? thanks
 
I really really want this ROM to work for me . Love how fast it is 1500 Quadrants at 998mhz is insane , faster then 1.15ghz on Jager and SkyRaider
It's GPS works faster the any other ROM , the dialer is the tits, just love verything about it except the killer

CAMERA DOES NOT WORK ( my DI is my digital camera)
BT AUDIO is Chopped (This is how I listen to my White Sox and all my audio at home and in my car)

Not seeing internal memory is kind of a bummer but I have a 32gb card so it's not a huge deal yet.

Hopefully these issues get worked out, if they do I'll be droping a nice Donation on this because it makes my phone exactly how I like it Fast Clean and Vanilla FroYo mmmmmm
 
So you can't use hydra kernals but can you use King Kernals with CM6.01?

My Incredible isn't stable at 1.15 , want to run it at 1.113 ghz , and for whatever reason setcpu won't let me select that it goes from 998mhz to 1.15ghz .But mainly I want the undervolting

Jim,

Which dialer does it come with?

All your issues are deal breakers for me, particularly the camera. I thought they were fixed with the latest CM6 but I guess not.

Would love some vanilla...

Can you load the Kingxklick kernels on CM6 and try it out? I think they should work.
 
My camera and camcorder are actually working ok. But they did lock up a few times first try . We'll see if it sticks.

Dialer is just the stock Android dialer which I'm a HUGE fan of.

Anyone know what kind of kernal is being ran with this ROM?

Welcome to the forums friend. Your posting in the Incredible section and may better be served in the correct section. But since you are already here... You needed to select the Google Apps check box when you downloaded the ROM. If you are using Rom Manager go to,

DownloadRom/CyanogenMod/GoogleApps

If you don't have Rom Manager I would suggest it, otherwise i have provided a link to the CyanogenMod Wiki that contains a manual Gapps download.

I am sooo confused by this. You like the dialer? :p On another note , yes BT is completely borked and therefor the ROM is sadly unusable for me :(
 
GrandmasterB --- I HATE the Sense dialer , I've always been a big fan of the Android Dialer. I really just don't like anything about sense to be perfectly honest with you

Understandable and I respect your opinion but can I ask you a few questions? With the stock dialer how do you speed dial? Is it possible? I use Sense speed dial repeatedly throughout the day. Also I love being able to dial 546 to pull up JIM and have fast access to your contact card or calling you if I choose. What is the fastest way to do that on the Stock Dialer?

Honest questions. I am just trying to understand why you prefer the stock dialer.

The only way I've found is to go to Contacts, long press Home to pull up the keyboard then go from there. Inconvenient compared to the Sense dialer but I prefer the look of the stock dialer
 
Why won't you guys use Dialer One?

Seems to be very similar to the Sense dialer. Has "predictive" speed dialing, which is nice.
 
With the latest release 6.0.1 camera, camcorder, internal memory are all working fine. If by streaming audio you mean pandora etc they are working fine for me as well. With pandora I just had to make sure i selected high quality audio in the settings. It sounded like crap until I did.

Edit: NM I think you meant streaming audio on bluetooth. I don't ever do this so I don't know if its an issue or not.

You can also pull up contacts and favorites from the stock dialer. People I call a lot I just added to my favorites. Then all you have to do is pull up the stock dialer and hit the favorites tab. I like the stock dialer a lot more than the htc dialer.

I tried King Kernal and it didn't work either. It was just like when I loaded a hydra kernal. It booted fine but the screen was unresponsive. I hope somebody will make a custom kernal for CM6. I like the over clocking thats built in but like you I would like a kernal with undervolt. Koush already tackled the over clocking part so maybe when he gets time he can put out one with undervolt.

The predictive contact pull is probably the only thing I miss about the sense dialer. I like the menu options on the top to grab favorites really quick. The biggest thing I like is the screen you get after hitting send.
Either way I'm ditching CM6 for now, my main reason is battery drain . Went to bed with a full 100% at 11:30 pm woke up to a phone with 55% battery at 5am , with other ROMS with Hydra or KK Kernals installed with some set cpu profiles (which I activated with CM6 also) I would never see below 95% . That's just an insane battery drain with teh phone off, my battery stats are saying that my screen was the biggest battery drain. Don't know how considering I was asleep ha

all in all back to the reason I like the android dialer is simplicity of it kinda why I like Vanilla so much more also . I just have no use for all the fancyness
 
I think I would like stripped down and simple, but I type names with they numbers to find a contact quickly all the time.... hmm
